A journey worth sharing

The college library should have contain more books and there should have been a study hall.Though it provides almost all the books to us for the whole semester to study.Also the college gym should have more equipped.

Course is designed as per the latest AICTE regulation.We follow assam science and technology university's course structure. In a semester there is 3 CIE (continuous internal evaluation )i.e class tests out of which best two is considered for the sessional exam contains 40%of total marks and remaining 60 % is considered from end semester examination.

Placements are not that good though some PSUs recruit here (very less number ).overall 25-30% get selected in the placement. Yes some students gets internship through the college. I haven't been to any internship yet.

Various events are organised in college Like 1.induction programme 2.college week 3.Phoenix (our tech fest). Etc In these above mentioned events Many competitions are organised. Like football,cricket,quiz,dance,ramp walk etc etc.

Feasible. Fees structure is very good.As the college is run by government of assam the structure is minimal so that allmost all can afford. Admission fee is between 2000-3000 rupees. (During fresh admission it is different ). Hotell mess dues are between 2000-2500 rupees. And exam form fill ups are between 1400-1700 rupees.

Different government scholarships can be applied though our college. For example Scholarships for minority. Scholarships for people having caste sc,st,obc. Ishan Uday scholarship etc. Till now i haven't heard about any loan facility offered by our college.

Many extracurricular activities take place here.Different groups are there to organise these activities Like 1.Fotokraft (A photography club) 2.Roboworld (A robotics club ) 3.The Literary Bout (A literary club) Simillerly a quiz club is there College football team is there Even interhostel Cricket,football,volleyball etc also organised by students union of JEC

There is a very vast alumni network of this college as it was established in 1960. Many of them are working in different sectors of industries. Some of them have their own startups. Yes they are very helpful and often visit hostels

First we have to appear for CEE (name of the entrance exam). After getting a good rank we have to attend counselling in AEC campus. Then here we take admissions in the engineering colleges of assam(as mine is jorhat Engineering College ) according to our rank.

Some Teachers (newly appointed )are really good at making clear our concepts and others just fullfill their duties by anyhow completing the course only.I am a mechanical engineering student so i can tell about my department only.About others I don't know.
