Likes

Campus environment is safe and positive and the faculty is also supportive , the teaching is also strong and most prof genuinely try to make concepts easier to understand
Campus life is engaging with active societies and events we get to participate grow and interact with people from diff departments
Infrastructure is decent especially the library and some inovated classrooms the atmostphere is peacefull

Dislikes

Administrative process can be slow especially fee submission form filling and documentation
Some part of infra like washroom older blocks need maintainance
Placement opp exists but they are limited to certain courses

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive especially because it follows du guidelines one of the reasons i chose this course was because of the balance between theoretical and practical subjects which helps in building strong academic foundation

Class Size: 59Course Fees: INR 31670 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My annual college fees is 31670 which includes ttn admission and registration charges , the overall fee structure has remained stable with no increase in my fees student from sc and st category pay compartively less amount as per norms some classmates also recieved scholarships like govt funded schemes for economically weaker students

Campus Life

Campus life in daulat ram college is lively with active societies fests and events the library is well stocked and classrooms are decent . Clubs and extra curriculars make the campus engaging and enriching

Admission

I chose daulat ram college because of its reputation , good faculty , and safe campus. I applied to a few more du colleges but this one fitted my cutoff and prefernce the best the admission was also smooth and based on CUET scores

Faculty

The faculty is supportive and faculty to student ratio is comfortable enough dor students to interact and clear doubts . Most teachers are are approchable which creates friendly atmosphere . The course structure follows nep rule which is currriculum updated and relevant

Night Life

Daulat ram college doesnt have a night life since the canpus closes by evenin but nearby hudson lane and kamla nagar offer plenty of cafes to hang out . The area is generally safe , and students usually unwind at these spots after the classes

A college review full of pros and cons

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

Though i think maths is a great subject as it is what gives birth to every field but within course it self its all theory and pure maths i thing real application would be appreciated we do have practical for 1 subject each sem thats it should he more.

The Life of A DRC student

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

i think it's very outdated and not of any practical use unless you go for research and scientific fields of science. it does not prepare much for the real world and current market but teaches about biology and chemistry which helps sometimes. the frequency if exam is fine.

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

KMC- Path to learn and grow

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.

I, in my first list got this college and freezed it right away. I really liked the course and DRC being in the OG North Campus fantasized me so much. It being the girls college is the win win situation for me as there was no preference of me being in Co-Ed but a college with reputation and good course. I choose this college over other because it's a government and central university. Means it fees is a lot less as compared to private colleges. Moreover it provides more exposure as compared to other colleges . And the crowd , I think there is competition so I will meet more dedicated ambitions people.
