Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course curriculum aligns with the constantly developing field requirements in real world. the college updates its course curriculum time to time to stay updated and provide us with the cutting edge technology knowledge. This is what influenced me to take up this course as it doesnt stay old and not updated. This provides us with the knowledge of ongoing technology trends in the ongoing outside world. Hands on experience lab facilities are provided to make us confident in dealing with our field in real world applications. The course curriculum can be improved in areas such as more industrial visit twice every month to make us feel connected to the industrial applications that is related with our course. 3 major exams are conducted every alternative month to test us and stay connected with our course knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

4

VIT offers good internship oppourtunities through both on and off campus channels and the support system makes it east for students to gain industry and research exposure before graduation. many internships are offered through campus internship drives and VIT's Industrial program, some of the well known companies are biocon, syngene, bharat biotech, tcs. projects are quite hands on such as PCr and gel electrophoresis experiments, cell culture studeis. teh outcomes of these internships are signifiacnt as students gain practical lab skills, learn the use of industry equipments.

Placement Experience

4

At VIT, placements and overall employability tend to be strong, though outcomes for biotechnology students are more modest compared to branches ike CSE or ECE. Across the institute;s 2025 pplacement drive, around 868 companies visited and a total of about 14044 job offers including dream, super dream and regular offers were extended. the highestpackage offered was 1 crore rupees per annum and for all Btech streams, the average package was roughly in the range of 8.99lpa to 9-a0 lpa. core biotech and pharma recruiters reportedly include companies like biocon and other banglore based biotech firms, offering roles as assistant research. After btech my plans would be to build a profile that helps in post graduate studies or in a specilized biotech jobs

Fees and Financial Aid

the yearwise fees for my course is 173000 in the first category (which is decided based on the rank of viteee). category 2 fees is 235000. category 3 fees is 343000. category 4 fees is 368000. category 5 fees is 398000. there is no management quota here in vit. all admission is done on the basis of marks scored in the vit entrance examination known as viteee.

Campus Life

4

My overall campus life experience at VIT till now has been very memorable especially because of the social environment, club participation and the impressive infrastructure provided to students. the campus is always very happening with events happening throughout the year, the annual cultural fest Riviera usually held in february brings students together through concerts, competetions and celebrity performances, and also the annual technical fest gravitas, that hapens in september, focuses on innovation, hackathons, and workshops. beyonf academics the campus promotes physical and creative developments through sport facilities such as cricket, football, basketball, swimming etc. student run clubs and chapters play a major role in shaping social life, these clubs and groups help student build confidence, explore interest and expand their social circle and feel more connected to the campus life.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilites at VIT are geenrally comfortable and well managed, making campus living component for studnets. Rooms are either 1-6 sharing and are equipped with essential as study table, chair, bed, lamps, cupboards and fam. ac rooms are available at a higher rate. Each floor has a common area, water purifier and washrooms. the mess food is decent and better than other colleges. the menu rotates with veg and nonveg options. the registration process is simple and atkes place online during admission.students select rooms based on availability and pay the hostel fees to confirm the allotment. most students prefer staying inside campus because of cleanliness and safety.

Admission

I applied to a few colleges for Btech Biotechnology but I finally chose VIT, Vellore because it clearly stood out in terms of academic qualities, facilities, and career prospects. I applied to several universities including SRM University, manipal Institute of Technology., and a state government college. SRM confirmed my admission but I chose VIT because of its Biotechnology Reputation, state of the art labs, vibrant research environment and exposure to industry collaborations. manipal rejected my applications because the entrance exam rank was slightly lower below the closing rank that year and I believe competetion was too high there. The Admission process was smooth in VIT and transpaent with eligibility requiring completion of 12th grade physics, chemistry and biology ormaths and admission is based on its own entrance exam. after the exam results, counselling and seat allotment is done based on rank and course preference

Faculty

4

the facultyto student ratio is 9. they are approachable. very friendly and helpful. they help in assignments and projects. they give guidance for future aspects. the best faculty i liked is the engineering physics faculty. he teaches well, and gives correct marking. there are 3 exams in a semester, cat1, cat2, and fat. the marking system is quite complex.

Interview Experience

4

the group discussion included the topic of employment strategies and comparison between males and female. I prepared for these rounds by checking in their previous years experience and questions papers which resulted in better knowledge

Night Life

4

the night life in and around VIT is calm and safe to acertain extent giving students enough space to unwind while still maintaining discipline. Inside the campus, the gym, library and public study spaces usually closes by 9pm or12am. the campus in time is 7pm and hostel intime for girls is 8:30 pm and 9pm for boys. most of the late night fun happens during night slips where club and chapter members meet for club activities that goes from 9pm to 1am. On weekends and evenings before in time, students relax after a tiring day at hangout spots as foodys, darling bakery, zaitoon, and hostel lawns

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
