Likes
- One of the best thing that I like about my college is their supportive faculties. Many teachers are approachable, explain concepts clearly and genuinely want students to understand instead of just memorizing .
- It's good campus environment as it feels safe , disciplined and student friendly.
Dislikes
- Lack of industry exposure . although academics are strong , there could be more frequent industry visit, expert talks and internship opportunities to match real world industry expectations.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams schedule is fairly regular with internals, sessionals and end semester exams. While the frequency keeps us engaged with studies , it sometimes feels overwhelming when multi assessment are close together . The difficulty level of exams is moderate - neither too easy nor extremely thought . With proper preparation and understanding of the concepts taught in class , the exams are manageable.
Fees and Financial Aid
on the semester basis , we pays approx 50k-60k . The TFW candidates have some discount so they pay less than this . There's a specific cell for the scholarships and many students apply and get them. The facilities guides and support till the end .
Campus Life
Our college organises two major types of events every years Annual cultural fest is usually help in march - April , this event includes music , dance , drama , fashion , shows and various cultural competitions . it's brings together Students from different departments and creates a very lively atmosphere on campus. There's organised a Technical fest in every occasion , featuring hackathons , coding contests , project exhibitions , workshops and guest lecturers There's no college's own Library but the university Library , it has a wide range of textbooks , reference books and academic resources for all branches . Classrooms are equipped with Smart boards , projects , high speed internet wifi , well arranged seating and proper ventilation. The campus offers a variety of sports and activities, including cricket , football , volleyball, basketball and indoor games like chess , ludo , table tennis and carrom . There are several clubs run by the students that enhances campus life including technical club , sports club , digital club, cultural club, literary club , social media club , community service club.
Admission
I applied to a few other enginnering colleges in my region that offered Btech programs . I recieved confirmed admission offers from a couple of them as well . However, I chose WIT as I felt overall learning atmosphere here aligned better with my goals for teamchnical growth and career development. The admission procedure here is simple the candidate must have completed 10+12 with physics chemistry and maths. The college accepts JEE main , state level entrance exams like UPSEE or other state technical exams and also considers direct admission based on merit depending on seat availability. And with their respective JEE rank they must apply for counselling.
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio at our college is 1:20 i like female teachers out there so much as beyond studies they motivate us and I like their energy, the way they pushes us to move forward and take participate in every event and tech fest. I don't like the hod as I feel like they are so rude and extremely strict. Exams helds semester wise in our college and they are moderate. Most of the students passes the exams.
Night Life
There is no college associated hostel yet but it is under construction with the permission and support of state government. So currently the students live in private hostels and pgs . The canteen and lounge area my favourite place . But i used to study with my friends in the University library and it opens till 7pm and there's safe environment there .
