Course Curriculum Overview

5

Economics Hons here is of DU and therefore we get to learn the same but from a private institutenif highest order. Our course lacks few subjects like they come all of a sudden in the third year as till second year our course is quite easy. So, I think it should be made tough right from the start as that will help the cause of the university and course too.

Internships Opportunities

5

Deloitte has been the first one who inked a deal with our placements cell and every year winter and summer combined they hire nearly 40 students of our university. So, the best ones do gets a chance to intern with them with a stipend of around 20 thousand a month.

Placement Experience

5

Since this campusnis new and the placements cell is new, it is still trying and trying to make good industrial connections. Having the management college in the same campus helps as the same companies which comes to recruit them available our services too.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi Technological East Campus is where our course is organized and Economics Hons from DTU East Campus. So on capital front our college charges around 1.2 lakhs and since it's a four years course the total fees is around 5 lakhs for the four years course. Yes, scholarships for minorities and reserved categories are there in our university.

Campus Life

5

Our campus is small as there are just a few buildings and the management building is the biggest of them all. We have one auditorium and a small hall where discussion and events are planned. Sports facilities are good though as our campus has a sports ground atleast. Annual fest of DTU is Engir and it is hosted in the main campus.

Admission

Admission is same as DU our college also accepts CUET scores. A score of 500 or more in CUET guarantees a berth for our course and that is how admissions happens here. My first target though was SRCC but the cut-off of SRCC was 770+ and this with 542 score, DTU was the best possible options.

Faculty

5

DTU has faculties whose acumen are great but the best quality that any student would want out of their faculties is their co-operation and we get that more than we ask for. So for that I think thanking them and especially thanking Mrs Wartika Pandey would be a fair call as she was the one who has helped me in and out.

Night Life

5

Historical places like Sher Shah Suri Gate, and Talaqi Darwaza are near by. 5 kms from our campus is Pacific Mall and some cafes which are nearby are Toddy, Last Offence Cafe and probably one of the best coffee houses in Counter Culture Coffee.

The placements are not that good, most of the companies are not well-known and generally offer sales and business development roles to students who are not even related to that background, and the packages are also very low.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The rise in mental health problems especially in an Indian society where even acknowledging such problems is considered a tabboo and are often ignored and passed off as irrelevant or unnecessary, I strongly felt the need to take part in creating awareness, as someone who has experienced these problems firsthand. The curriculum of this course in this college comes with a lot of benefits, apart from the syllabus, the exposure, the constant seminars and one on one sessions our faculty, our society provides is truly commendable and helps us in learning about problems in real time, preparing us for the outside world. Frequent class tests are taken by our teachers to make sure we are learning thoroughly. The difficulty of exams i would say is moderate, and carefully crafted to cater towards our naivety.

Given that I'm a fresher I dont have much knowledge about the placement of the college. However during the initial weeks of my college I did see seniors geared up for placement interviews and projects. I also heard that college has average placement package of 5-6 LPA. The max was around 20 LPA. Also one of the alumni was within top 10 ranking of CSE exam conducted by UPSC.
