Likes

Fees affordability as no other DU college is as affordable as ours.
Placements are nice as we are assisted not just for placements but intenrships as well.
College helped me get intenrships after my 1st year which I was still a fresher and i will always be grateful to my college for that.

Dislikes

Ranking index has never put Dyal Singh College in top 10 colleges and college should improve to be in top 10.

Course Curriculum Overview

There's always a debate that B.Com (Hons) or Economics (Hons). Since I was a commerce student, I had to choose B.Com (Hons) as my subjects of interest are there. FM and Accountancy are my favourite and our course gives us the best insights of that.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 13990 per year

Internships Opportunities

Jaro Education, Unacademy and there were many other start up comapnies and only second year passed out students are getting internships through college. I was lucky to grab one after the first year and a stipend of 8000 was provided by them.

Placement Experience

PWC, Icici Prudential and like wise companies which needed students for finance and accountancy roles offers placements to students. Many new startups too have started coming and this has made placements percentage shoot up in recent past.

Fees and Financial Aid

Dyal Singh College which is a prolific college of DU charges the lowest fees. Where colleges like SRCC and other charges close to 30000 for B.Com, our college charges just 13990. Examination fees for all Delhi University college is same and that is paid mandatorily.

Campus Life

A 12 acre campus now also houses hostel too. Old buildings exist but 3 new buildings too are ready now and those buildings have our library and auditorium as well. Our committees and societies are highly active and DU common societies like Enactus and all have our college representatives as well. Our annual fest is Priyadarshini and is celebrated at our campus only.

Admission

Admission in Dyal Singh College is after CUET counselling as DU has its own process of the same. So, it was a great way to join because I got Dyal Singh College in the first round and then I had the choice of upgrading it with Hindu College. However, I already spent a few days at my college till then and I felt it has to be DSC.

Faculty

Students to faculties for B.Com Hons is little unfavorable as B.Com (Hons) is the biggest batch and even faculties are most for our course. They enjoy their leadership role as they literally the leaders of our college and do their work wholeheartedly.

Night Life

For hangouts I seek Gardens and Cafes. Gardens like the Garden of Five Senses and the Lodhi Garden are close to our college. For eating, Raj Maggie point to asthetic Hard Rock Cafe are nearby our college.

Overall, it is a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have done bcom programme from this college. This course is best in the way that it opens the doors for various paths, for example, CA, CS, CMA, Mcom, MBA, etc. So this course is relevant for almost every commerce student in today's time. Though the course curriculum is good, there are some improvements needed in teaching methods. Teachers should relate the topic with real world to give better understanding of the curriculum. The frequency and timing of exams are fine. No improvement needed in these.

Sri Aurobindo college : Go fir it

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is bcom programme. Bcom programme alone isn't enough to prepare you for the real world applications and it is not that much profitable in today's time . It has lost it's value so without any other skills, bcom programme alone isn't enough to get you a job. Exams happens 2 times an year not so difficult if you study from the start.

The college provide placement of 5,00,000 per annum if we take a average in companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Genpact, bajaj and other banking companies like HSBC and Axis Bank. Almost, 40 % students get placed in BCom from our college

Things you should know before get into DYAL SIGH EVENING COLLEGE, DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

When i was applying to the college i looked at the course structure and i thought its pretty good i would love to study this but the reality was completely different once i joined the college. i'd say couse just got rebranded via NEP but it's not worth at all to study this couse. i found zero relevence of this course in real world applications the entire course need to be re-structured as soon as possible its not worth at all to study subjects that makes no sense for Bcom srtudent

Placements College, Addison, but not at the same level as to due college like SSC or Hindu, The college has a placement cell that brings the companies mainly from sectors like consulting finance, marketing, research, and IT. Some reputed recruiters include Deloitte, EY KPNG, Wipro, Accenture, and Genpact with average packages arranging from 4 to 6,00,00 per annum while a few students get higher offer, depending on skills and interest internships. Howeverplacements are stronger for commerce and economic students compare to humanities where more student prefer higher studies, UPSC or other exams, even campus placement. Reality of RLA

A Worthwhile DU Experience

I applied to various colleges under Delhi University and got merit based admission in Dyal Singh College in English Hons programme in first cutoff. While in others, my admission was not confirmed basically because of the high cutoff like St. Stefan College etc. I am really glad to be admitted in this college which gave me many oppurtunities and a great faculty with wonderful campus. I applied for this college in first round of csas and freezed i didn't for any other college .The exam required for admission is CUET. my course is BSc physical science with chemistry and to be eligible for this course you need to have pcm in class 10+2.In cuet you need to give paper of pcm and a language is compulsory . Call of the Unbiased

Admissions are done through CUET UG and then CSAS counselling. The Science department of Dyal Singh College is one of the best in all of off-campus.
