Course Curriculum Overview

4

Overall, I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant and comprehensive. I was initially drawn to it because of its strong focus on practical, real-world applications, which was a major factor in my decision. The curriculum prepared me well for professional pursuits by including hands-on projects and case studies that directly mirrored industry challenges. However, I believe the course could be improved by incorporating more modules on emerging technologies. The exams were well-timed and challenging, but fair, and their difficulty level was appropriate given the course material.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like reliance industries come for interships and they offer summer intern role at different plants they offer 30000 per month stipend. Srf shree ram fibres offer summer intern role and 25000 stipend at indore and gurugram. They give different project related to industry you have to work on them and get on the efficienct result if you perform well then you can get a ppo offer from the company side .

Placement Experience

4

Placement scenario is so good as per the stats . Like students are eligible for placements from there 7th sem . No. Of companies visited is around 200 (guess). Offers made 600(guess) . Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

Fees and Financial Aid

NIT Raipur B.Tech Fee Structure (2024-25) The total fee for the first semester is Rs. 1,07,800. This includes a tuition fee of Rs. 62,500, admission fees of Rs. 20,000, and other charges such as a caution money deposit (refundable) of Rs. 10,000. For subsequent semesters, the tuition fee remains Rs. 62,500, but the total payable amount decreases as the one-time charges are no longer applicable. The total fees per semester are: First Sem: Rs. 1,07,800 Second Sem: Rs. 70,300 Third Sem: Rs. 68,930 Fourth Sem: Rs. 68,390 Fifth Sem: Rs. 68,540 Sixth Sem: Rs. 68,000 Seventh Sem: Rs. 68,170 Eighth Sem: Rs. 67,630 The image also notes that students whose parents' income is below Rs. 1 lakh per annum are exempt from tuition fees. Those with an income between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh are required to pay a tuition fee of Rs. 20,833 per semester. It appears the tuition fees remain constant over the four years of the program. And same goes for sc / st they are also exempt from tution fees. Like ews students have to pay 60000 each year similarly , 1 lakh to 5 lakh regime peoples have to pay 17000 per year , sc/st student also have to pay 7200 per year . There are mainly scholarship but I am aware with 2 of them only one is provided by ONGC for the OBC students based on merits , and one is by state government.

Campus Life

4

There are 3 or 4 fest held in a year eclectika is a annual cultural fest which held in month of February, annual sports fest is samar held in January month , technical fest is technocracy which is generally held in February. There are plenty of books and you can easily access them in library . There are good faculties provided like projector some good softwares required for different branches but there is scope of improvement in the benchs . There any many opportunities over sports you can compete between the branches if you are good at game you are selected for the interview nit drive to compete with the other nits . There are plenty of social groups in insta , whatsapp etc and there any many committees like financial, rajbhasha and much more to explore .

Admission

I applied for all the nits an some of state colleges and I got confirmation from bit mesra , coep pune , nit nagpur. But I chosen this college due to chemical engineering branch and the placements stats . Ya I got rejection in many colleges like nit Rourkela , nit bhopal , nit surat , nit suratkhal and many more due to my rank in jee mains . Admission process is starts from attempting jee mains you have to secure a good rank like less than 40000 to be here but at the same time if you are from chhattisgarh itself then you have good amount of chances to get this college in less ranks also due to homestate quoto.

Faculty

4

There is good faculty student ration i will say 1:7. It is easy to approach if you want to share your problem or want any help they are so helpful. Some of good faculties are always ready to help dr. Vk singh is one of them strict but at the same time very much helpful . Some faculties are there who required jhst crammed things in the exams they only consider crammed things and give them marks . There are only two exams mid semester and end semester. Very less students are there who fail in exam but there some excetional subjects and the teachers are there who do so . Course is so much related but as per need it can be made more industrial ready as students doesnt face any problem in getting jobs .

Night Life

4

There is gym but it is too small the gym can open for girls in morning 6 to 7 and boys are not allowed similarly for boys in evening 5 to 7 . There are two canteens which can supply each and everything but the closing time is 6o'clock . In library there are very limited seats and also the timing of library is from morning 9 to evening 7. Hostel in time is 10'o clock same goes with campus 11 o' clock . There are any hangout places near like central garden , nalada library , pizza hut , westside etc .

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative

So, placements are purely on performance as those who perform well are given best of placements.
