Course Curriculum Overview

4

The History Hons course is one of the most demanded course among the students, especially those who want to pursue civil services and higher education in their life. The Curriculum is designed in such a way that we get to know about our past and also how to use our ancient knowledge in the present times. Although There is always a scope for improvement , the course structure can be restructed in a new modern way and new publications can be added to the readings. However, the present faculty uses various teaching methods including Documentary Screening, Presentations and Seminars. The Course covers various perspectives of History and is of moderate level difficulty if basics are not clear. The university exam is mostly based on PYQs which makes it easier to pass the course

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies like Du buddy offer internships through Placement cell with a monthly stipened of around 5000-6000 and there were other business development oppurtunities. Where the work included from Cold Callings to Data Mangement.

Placement Experience

4

The Placement cell of Ramjas is called Pinnacle and is very active. students are eligible to apply for internships from 2nd year onwards and for placements in 3rd year. The Cell brings many recruiters across various backgrounds in college. The recent reports shows that around 109 companies visited and total of 120 offers were made with rthe highest package of 24 LPA and average package of 7.5 LPA. However the number of student getting placed in percentage is less since most of the students opt for government exams. my plan is to go for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

The 3 year course fee for BA Hons in History course is as follows(which I paid) 1st year - 14300 2nd Year - 14651 3rd Year - 15553 The lab fees are not charged for the BA and Bcom students The course fee structure increases every year by few Percent. For the Academic Year 2025-28,the course fee for 1st year is 16098. There is a relaxation for PwD students and their annual fee is 146 ruppes. The course fee for other BA hons courses is same , The Science courses Such as Bsc Life sciences and Physical Sceinces have 17213 ruppee as their 1st year Fee, and the BCom has an annual fee of 17098 Ruppes There are few Scholarship Opportunities also available for economically Weaker Section Students whose family income is below 400000

Campus Life

4

The Campus of Ramjas is lively. The old Building does not have the best infrastructure but the new building makes up for it with its better infrastructue and facilities like projectors, Podiums etc There are plenty of student soceities such as NSS, Wordcraft , Melange etc which organises there own annual fest, while the college hosts its own annual fest "mosaic" in the month of april -may. The library is spacious, well mainted and stocked with with a wide collections of books and newspapers that makes it a great spot for studying . Student Soceities keep campus a happening place and a creative place. sports facilities are fairly average but the college gym adds up to the options availble for students.

Admission

Ramajs College Accept admission through the CUET score , being one of the prestige college it requires a high score of around 750+/800 or 900+/1000 in CUET. The admission takes place through the CSAS portal of Delhi University. My top Priority college was Hindu college but i was not alloted that however Ramjas was in my top 5 and I was very happy when i was alloted this college. Ramjas College's History Department is one of the best Department for Historical Studies in Du , plus the college gives many academic support to the Department such as department trip and seminar. The over all infrastructure of Ramjas is also v good with proper class room and projector facilities

Faculty

4

The overall Faculty members are good and experienced, although there are some new recruits as well. In BA courses the faculty to student ratio is somewere around 35 to 1.Most of the faculty are very Approchable and Friendly except a few who maintain Distance from Students and limit themselves to class only. In History Department, teacher Like Dr. Monica Saxena , Dr. Ranjana Das are very experienced and have a very good style of Teaching. Dr. Uma Shankar is another teacher who is an expert in his field and is friendly. Talking about exams there is 1 sem end university exam and there are internal exams which is conducted by the teachers only. The Internal Assessment includes Presentations , Group Discussion, Class test etc Most of the students clear the exam without any difficulty.

Night Life

3

College has many hangout spots in the campus and near it.Since Ramjas is a north Campus college we have many options around the campus such as Kamla Nagar, Hudson lane , Sudama ki chai or Toms uncle maggie. Hudson lane is my favourite. The night life in areas like Vijyanagr and GTB are best and safe. However the area near malkaganj is not very safe at night. The College Canteens are typically open till 5pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually the 3 discipline core subjects are truly important and relevance to my course. However the skill enchantment course and value addition course, even EVS taught this semester barely helps. That sometimes even felt like a burden. Still choosing the right GE, major is useful. I enjoy that... going through.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I find thr course curriculum quite relevant. Geography is a very dynamic and practical subject and our course is designed that way to provide students a comprehensive knowledge of the course. We usually have two theory and one practical subject related to the course providing all the necessary learning and also preparing us for further research work.
