Likes

There is some free time , and the campus is beautiful but not big
Nice fests , good alumini network ,and seniors
Nice work shops and exposure to different branches

Dislikes

The mess is not that good , and some times it is worst
Cost is very high, dosa cost 120 , cycle cost 10k
I don't like the curriculum of this college

Course Curriculum Overview

They conduct exams twice a sem i.e 4 times a year 2 mids and 2 sems , and this curriculum doesnot prepare well for r al world application and the circullum and teaching methods are bad not good enough

Total fee for 1 sem = 115000 90,000+25000 No scholarship Fee depends on the category But ess fee is same for everyone Some of my batch mat s have 35000 And some have 53000 For a year you need to double this

Campus Life

Campus Life is good but the clubs have very limited seats and there is some partiality for zone members and they usually do ragging in interviews, in library the books are very limited for sports it is good

Hostel Facilities

There are no washing machines in hostel which is a very big issue and there are dogs in hostel and very poor hygiene and not big rooms meal quality is very poor students have to fight for good quality

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

I apply all colleges and according to my rank I got nit Durgapur college , and not particularly I choose this college I only see nirf ranking and arrange them and I just see previous year trends I saw which college is coming to me

Faculty

There are 120 students for section in 1 st combination of all branches and teachers are not sufficient for maths department, I like every faculty but some teachers interact very well and the circullum is a bit hectic

Night Life

For gym it is very small and we have to wait a long to get our chance and in nights there are restrictions we cannot enter clg after 11:00 pm and cannot leave hostel before 5:00 am, there are some nice cafes and places

Regarding examination the frequency is generally acceptable but the timing sometimes overlaps with project submission,creating unnecessary pressure. Exam duration is of 3hrs They should focus more on building projects which can be helpful for students Labs are modern and well equipped In terms of teaching methods a shift towards interactive learning,problem based assignments,hackathons and collaborative projects could make the learning experience more impactful. More emphasis on research and innovation at the undergraduate level could also encourage academic pursuits.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Suggestions for selecting good choice

The factors that made me to choose this Institute is the infrastructure and location of the institute and also the placement statistics. Institute also has good faculty who can be the mentor for you if you a have a good relationship with them. And also we can explore the culture of West Bengal if we are not from West Bengal. Perspective's View

I got this in josaa counselling and it turned out to be pretty good.The admission process was smooth in the online way also I have asked from seniors, it was quite the same for offline as well.The coding and development environment of the college is quite helpful and has emerged. Seniors aren't that helpful but will make you learn a lot. The co curricular activities are extra ordinary and will make you occupied for whole of the college duration and also would develop your overall personality. The faculty here is involved in researches which was the main factors I chose this college. The infrastructure of the college is being rebuild gradually and within 4-5 yrs it will be complete.Overall I am satisfied from what I got and have to look forward to advantage of stuffs provided by the college....Read More

NIT durgapur is one of the good option for btech if anyone is not qualified to good and old IIT. Nit durgapur has ranked 4th position among all NIT's and 30th among all engineering college including all IIT's in NIRF ranking 2021. Admission is done through the qualification in JEE mains. As my rank in JEE advanced was not so good to secure a seat in IIT and my desired branch. so, I was trying to get a seat in top NIT. Thenafter jossa councling I got placed in NIT durgapur and in Metallurgical and Material science engineering.
