- Course is affordable compare to any other colleges.
- Support from the teachers/faculty towards the students is good.
- No descrimination from any faculty irrespective of marks or any other things.
Dislikes
- Placement is not that great, Less core companies and mostly Service based that too very small
- College is always constructing and they keep changing places.
- Inhouse records and assignment books are costly.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since it comes under VTU(Visvesvaraya Technological University), they used to follow the curriculam under the VTU guidence. Curriculam has strong foundation but not most advanced as much as industry. Lab sessions are too basic and project support is nil (it depends on the faculty you have been assigned).
Placement Experience
Placements were not really that great. they were only service based companies mostly or for sales profile. as an Electronics and communication engineer I was completely disppointment. Placements support was also not that great. Placements only offered starting from the 7th sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first year fee came to 85k including the government fee but 2nd year onwards it got reduced for around to 70k INR. and it continued till the last year. They didn't provide any inhouse scholrship.
Campus Life
Due to its small campus size there were not much campus life here other than 1 student canteen, it was keep getting changing location throughout. There was clubs from each course and class but there were not much involement or any engagemnet sessions were done.
Admission
BMSIT is my first college that I applied because 1. I heard it was a good college through the peers who studied earlier. 2. It had a good review online 3. It was near to my house, so transportation was easy. 4. It was away from the city and it was surrounded by lush greens. It was peaceful. 5. It was affordable.
Faculty
There were 1 faculty was assigned for 4 students called "Proctor". One could reachout to them if you faced any problem academically or any personal issue you were facing. Weekly one period was assigned for "Proctering" session. Most of the faculty members were very supportive. We had to give 3 internals every sem, among them best of 2 were considered and 1 External. Internals were not that difficult, they were prepared by considering the externals in mind.
Night Life
Since college is outskirts of the city, there was no nightlife here at BMSIT at all. Only from the college hostel people who stays at the campus has a life otherwise usually college will be emptied by 5pm in the evening.
