Likes

The fests are really good. They are very fun.
Management is good. We do not face these issues with the management.
Timetable is not that bad like other colleges

Dislikes

Canteen not that good. The food tastes awful sometimes
They really need to step up with their infrastructure
Air conditioners are really needed. I feel suffocated during exam time bcz it’s really crowded there .

Course Curriculum Overview

Bcom honours is fun. Accounting is difficult. I find law really interesting. Even the practical aspect of our is great. Bcom honours is even not that hectic you can do a lot of other things while doing this course.

Internships Opportunities

Pehchaan is a great NPO which offers great intenships and LOR datsme is also great for internships Most of them are in finance , marketing and PR and communication. It makes the students learn how things work in real corporate world

Placement Experience

We have placements fairs in our college and it is mostly offered to all the courses and to students of all the years. But most of them are for bcom h or eco honours students. There are internships for 1st yearies too but most of them wants 2nd or 3rd year students.

Fees and Financial Aid

It was 33000 for the first year there a few scholarship schemes available for merit and need. The college keeps sending us these scholarships on pur official gmail Id.It is given as soon as we join the college.

Campus Life

We have a lot of societies and clubs in our college. I personally am a part of 3 college societies. Most of them are good. Campus life is also nice. Our fests are great and fun. The food stalls are good. We do have a columbus ride in our annual fest.

Admission

So I gave CUETs for Delhi University. This was on 17th number on my preference list. My score was 753/800 . I chose this one because it is north campus so better placements and all. The other colleges that were on top of this college were coed and had better networking

Faculty

Most of the teachers are good. If we asks any dounts even after college hours, they do answe. Some of them are not that good though. We are not able to understand a thing. A few of them rude but a few of them a quite fun and understands the issues of the students.

Interview Experience

No there was nothing as such except CUET. CUET is for all the subjects so all these things were not required only cuet was required for general test maths english accountancy and economics. 200 for each test

Night Life

North campus is not that safe for girls during night. But still if we keep the safety thing side for a moment. Hudson lane has so many good cafes with good ambience. And it's like a 5 min drive from colleges and hostels

Underrated College of DU!

Placement Experience:

Students from 3rd year onwards may sit for placements. There are several companies visiting our college for placements, such as Zomato, Tech Mahindra, EY, MagicPin, etc. My plans after getting the degree personally include pursuing a PG degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college.The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

Why DU has the best college life

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that great but decent. Mostly placements are good in the north campus but still my college provides decent placements. However one has to maintain their academic score for the same and be consistent.

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats. Daulat Ram's Life

I gave Cuet examination for my course. The eligibity to pursue maths hons from delhi university was to give examination in mathematics and any other 3 subjects. To find the application form one should visit cuet.samarth.in, all the information regarding the dates, fees and syllabus are given there. I want to see some improvements in the admission process such as more hassel free process, as cuet was done for the first time this year so there were many things that did not went smoothly.
