Remarks

The faculty really should focus less on taking more and more classes and focus on providing students to the point knowledge. It's high time students need to learn something to implement it rather than mugging it up for nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is extensive one including more than 10 subjects each semester along with practical exams for every subject. Its semester system. Exam structure includes mid term comprising of 25 marks or 20 marks and end term of 50 marks. Practical exams are of 100 marks.

Placement Experience

2

No, our College doesn't provide internships. Job opportunities are in the agricultural sectors, banks, fertilizers company or research, Forestry, agribusiness management, also in kvks, laboratories, teaching puroses and others.

College Events

1

Agri fest takes place every year in the end of January. Other events like tours and cultural programmes take place all over the year. College social stopped due to lack of funding in year 2017. Tree plantation programme also take place along with freshers

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. Semester fees was 1250 now it's been raised to 1450. It includes everything. Day scholars need to give a bit lesser fees. Scholarships are also supplied to meritorious students but it has been stopped now.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I don't know as of such. Talks of scholarship was in the air but it wasn't being sanctioned by the Dean for whatever reason. Protests took place and now we are only allowed a canteen subsidy of 1715 every semester.

Campus Life

3

Okayish. There are not much sports taking place except for one annual event. Regular sports is practiced at the hostels. Lab activity is average as most of the equipment is missing or not working due to lack of funds.

Hostel Facilities

1

I had taken hostel for a month or two but the condition is pathetic. Ragging by seniors, power cuts, low quality food and low hygiene compelled me to leave hostel. Water is also a problem. It's high time the food and lodging should be taken care of.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. But I've not yet taken any help of them. The only memory of mine of the seniors is of their ragging which literally sucked out all the interest for me in this College or this particular subject.

Admission

I took my admission through my Marks of class 12. Students can also take admission through the admission test ICAR. The eligibility for admission is atleast 80% above in best of four subjects including bio and chemistry.

Faculty

4

Pretty good. They take special care for the courses and they are pretty experienced as well they have high degrees. Though communication is a problem and classes taken are much more than needed so self study is pretty much hampered.

Honestly, I was preparing for neet but after neet i was very clear that i want to do this(Agriculture). Practical cum theory approach here will make you a awared man in this field. Placements and Governments seats after UG is very competitive although. In upcoming future everyone will going to focus on larger production in limited land/cultivation area so Agriculture will be needed today and tomorrow.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like to study about fruits ,plants, medicinal plants ,vegetables and their nature and behavior. There is no other better course then horticulture to study all these .So i chose this course and i am trying my level best to do something better for the future. The faculty and the student ratio is quite good, for every 10 students there is always one teacher available. The academics are good and the teachers are well qualified having ample knowledges. The teachers are very friendly and experienced which help the students in their studies and exam. The teacher also give powerpoints slide in various topics for the better knowledge of students . The term exams happens in time and the question papers are difficult to solve. If students do not attend classes or listen to the teachers carefully ,it is very difficult to solve the question papers. But if the students are attentive in class ,they will not find difficulty in solving the question papers.
