Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum have relevance in modern day engineering but it don't have much emphasise on future like artificial intelligence. The teaching methods are old like taking lectures instead of using smart classes which can bore the students especially in coding classes

Internships Opportunities

3

Cusat provides internship in vlsi design, upskilling internships for students from other universities, prof nr madhava menon interdisciplinary center for research etc.And there many good project and startups for future are coming from these internships

Placement Experience

4

From 6 th or 7 th semester onwards students will be eligible for placement. The placements are good and students with no backlogs will get placed especially in cs ,it ,ec and safety has best placement in India .CS ,it have average package close to 6-7 lpa and safety have 8-9 lpa.My plans after getting degree is to get in a reputed company along with starting my own startup

Fees and Financial Aid

There are three quotas ,state merit, all india merit and NRI .For state merit it is close to 50k,all india 100k,nri 120k,I am a all india quota student.SC,ST students doesn't need to pay fees, other than the above mentioned fees we must pay close to 5k every year as pta fees and 3k every sem as exam fees. There are many scholarships available, especially for state merit students under egrantz provided by kerala government

Campus Life

2

The tech fests are less in cusat due to a incident happened in dhishna, which was the biggest tech fest at that time, and the incident took life of three student causing the cancellation of techfest in upcoming years. The library have wide variety of books and journals covering all genres.Thencollege is not good in sports and extracurricular activities. The college have various groups ,clubs like ires seds ,tedx and conducts annual arts called sargam

Admission

Cusat is more affordable than private colleges ,and it is in ernakulam which is the best district in Kerala in terms of advancement. The elegibility is youmust pass 12 and write cusat cat exam ,cutoffs for these exams are high-top mid and you must study hard in entrance to crack these exam

Faculty

4

There are very less number of permanent faculties here, others all are temporary faculties. The faculty to student relationship is good and they help us with placement. There are two internal exams and one semester exam in every sem.The exams are comparatively easy to clear and very few students will have backlogs. The course curriculum is very relevant considering the modern employment opportunities

Night Life

5

The night life is brilliant as it is ernakulam and in the heart of the district. There are various hangout spots nearby like Lulu mall,Marine drive ,fort kochi. There are many gyms ,cafeterias, parks nearby.Campus timings are from 9-4 and there is no curfew in hostel for men.The locality is safe to roam around and provides peace for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
