Course Curriculum Overview

3

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise we had to pay 72000 rupees. The tuition fees cost 50% of the total fees. Caution fees is 10000 rupees. Lab fees was 24000 rupees. And the rest was termed as miscellaneous. Also there was no compulsory charges. All of my batchmates had to pay the exact same amount as me. And there were no scholarships or any aid.

Campus Life

1

The only annual festival is the Christmas Carol which is done throughout the Christmas week. The library is filled with obsolete and unnecessary books and journals and the ones that are actually important are not available to students. The college charges a fortune for their facilities and everything else but there is no provisions of the said facilities. The annual sports is held only in the January each year and apart from that there is no other extracurricular activities. There is no student run social groups or clubs or anything else in this institution.

Admission

I also applied to the main university but didn't get a chance there. That is why I had to take admission in this blasted institution. I received the rejected from the University due to my lack of percentage in the paper called marksheet. That is what went wrong. The admission process is completely done through the internet. To apply one must have a minimum of 60 % marks in their previous courses. That allows you to fill up the application form. Now to actually get admitted in the institution you must clear the cut off marks which differs year to year depending on the students that have applied.

Faculty

1

The faculty to student ratio were 1:5. The faculty to student relationship was mixed. I mean some were very approachable. And they really helped. At least to the best of their abilities. But some were not approachable at all. I'd rather not name any names due to anonymity. But I liked them because they really helped in whatever cases I presented to them to the best of their ability. Also the ones I didn't like because of their uncanny ability to hold a heavy ground of pretence that they were above and beyond anything ordinary whereas in reality they were vermins. The exams were conducted entirely by the University. The college had nothing to do in that. But most of the students failed in all of the exams.

Night Life

1

There is a gym in the college which opens only after the college hours are over. And its days vary for women and men. Cafeterias are always closed when needed. Library is closed off after college. And there are no public areas. Hostel is a necessity as many a students come from far away states and countries but they are a nightmare to be exact. Environment is very unhygienic. Food is very unhealthy and what not. Campus is off limits after closing hours. There are no hangout places inside the college let alone a famous one.

Nowadays the future as a Biotechnology student is bright as it has a lot of industrial options. The faculty-student ratio is 1:6, all professors are completed their Ph.D. and they are very efficient in both online and offline mode. There are 4 CA, and 2 PCA in one semester as an internal exam, the difficulty level of that exam is moderate.
