Beautiful college, improving everyday

It's good, but needs improvements (which is being done). Improvements need to be done in power supply, water supply, room cleaning etc., Wifi has been made available in the whole college with open air WiFi, that's something good.

The curriculum till now was pretty outdated but thanks to our director, it's being renewed. Best thing about it, freshers won't have the common syllabus, and will have dedicated subjects for each branch. Exam structure right now, we have a mid term of 30 marks, majors for 60 marks, rest 10 marks are managed by attendance and assignments.

Placements. Theirs a great growth in placements every year, with almost 100% placements in most of the major branches like CSE IT ECE ELE, Mech, etc., Civil, metallurgy have yet to better, and the college is trying their best for it. Otherwise, it's safe to say the major branches are going to be great in 4 years. *No internship provided by the college yet*

Tech fest called techvaganza, we've alot of competitions amongst and around the college in technical fields and non technical fields including Bot competitions, video games, etc., Dj nights are also a part of it. Our college's WeByte club organizes Exordium following similar competitions. Other than these, there are various smaller events done frequently.

Expensive for people with income slab above 5 lacs. Yearly expenses goes around 1.6lac/annum excluding the everyday expenses. For income slab b/w 1 lac and 5lac, it's around 0.9lac/annum For income slab < 1 lac, it's hardly 10k I guess.

There are various scholarships being offered by the college, although no loan facility, we've to get the loan from SBI R E C branch on our own reason being the college has J&K bank who don't provide loan to outsiders.

Computer labs are just awesome right now as they've been upgraded just now, with Top of the class I build computers able to perform any high demanding job. Other labs are yet to be upgraded, but certainly they'll be. Sports: cricket field has been upgraded too, and it's amazing. Hostels have Badminton court which are pretty good as well but it's outdoor. Table tennis, volleyball, football basketball, these all have their courts as well and they're good.

Hostel is pretty nice, with high-speed wifi available all day unless theirs a power outage (it's frequent b'coz of the weather, and the snow fall). Rooms are good and new hostels are being constructed. Problem right now is, 4 people share a single room (Should get better in the upcoming year).

Alumni networks are okay-ish, there is an annual alumni-student events. Most of the Seniors are VERY helpful and they're always ready to guide you, the clubs in the college like college club, WeByte etc., Are always willing to take new comers and guide them. So yep, alot helpful.

I wrote the entrance exam named JEE mains, got admitted into the college through CSAB special round. There will be an online and and offline/physical reporting in the college with required documents. You'll be guided there with everything.

Not the best to be honest, most of the teachers for freshers are temporal and new, basically, below expectations. But in the end of the day, it's the student who need to study, high speed internet is available 24*7, we can take online courses whenever.
