Course Curriculum Overview
I think the curriculum and Clubs like Marketing Club, Finishing School Club, Finance and HR Club were really good to be part of. I believe the curriculum prepares the student for real world applications for sure and exams were easy to pass but difficult to top the class.
Internships Opportunities
Many of them were Startups. The one where I did my internship was Times of India 'The Times Group' . It had stipend based on performance and was for sales of newspaper subscription. Other internships were in marketing and finance area including companies like Motilal Oswal.
Placement Experience
Students in semester 3 of MBA can sit for placements. Ed-tech companies were major chunk of the placement visits. Almost 60% of my batchmates were placed and other either opted out of placements or started their business.
Fees and Financial Aid
As far as I remember it was 3.5 to 4.5 Lakh per course. The tuition must be around 70% of the total fees. Other charges included development fees, club fees, and other examination fees, etc. SC/ST definitely had a waiver but I am unaware how much.
Campus Life
My overall experience was pretty awesome. I learnt a lot from different clubs and societies especially NSS and Marketing Club. Maestros is the biggest cultural fest organised by PIET yearly. It has good access to popular journals and newspapers along with books.
Admission
I tried doing CAT but couldn't crack IIMs. Then PIET was among the top institutions in NCR I figured out and applied. My CAT score helped me get scholarship of Rs 40000 around. PIET also has it's own entrance namely PCAT.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio in my department was 1:20. The faculty were very approachable. We even had the mentor mentee system where couple of students will have a faculty mentor. Best faculty were Dr, Vikas Tyagi, Dr Saurav, Prof Himanshu Jain and Dr Akhilesh Mishra
Interview Experience
I already had CAT score that was enough for my admission. Apart from this usually there is one small call interview that I had and others were not participated by me. PKAT is one entrance usually taken by students before entering PIET in order to get scholarships.
Night Life
It was nice. Gymnastics, library, parks, were all full of energy and calmness all together. Famous hangout places were the Cricket ground, Deepak Cafe, momos cafe, and others.Cafetetia usually closed in night.
