A College That Helped Me Shine

Machine Learning, Python, Data Visualization, Artificial Intelligence, and other tech subjects are part of the curriculum. The curriculum mainly focuses on the practical aspects of Data Science. The curriculum is regularly updated as per current industry standards. Apart from the curriculum, we get exposure to in demand technologies such as: NET Framework, Big Data, Cyber Security, IoT, and Mobile Application Development.

Internahsips at PIET are taken very seriously, and also, they are a part of the curriculum. In three years, we have to complete six mandatory internships where we get to use technical knowledge in real world apllications and get experience in the real It sector. I am in the second year of the program, and i have completed my two internships, one at a local It firm and the other at an IT company in Gurgaon. The Career Advancement Cell also helps us find good internships through their collaborations and tie-ups.

The Career Advancement Cell of PIET handles placements. It organizes joint placement drives on campus to provide jobs to students. Also, the CAC cell provides training related to personality development and skill development, and organizes workshops and mock interview sessions. In the last two years, i have seen more than 6 placement drives where my seniors got jobs with good salary package. My English speaking skills are not that good, but after joining the CAC classes, i feel condident while communicating in English.

The fees are comparatively low at PIET when you compare them with other colleges and universities. Also, for student who need financial assistance, PIET offers many scholarship schemes such as PIET Quest and PAT. I also got an exemption of 50% on my tuition fees through the PIET Quest Scholarship. I got second position in that test, and if i get first, then i will get a 100% exemption on my tuition fee.

I love exploring, which means i want to sing, dance, act, and want to be a pro in tech all at once. For a guy like me, PIET is a heaven because here, along with the main program, I am a part of almost every club at PIET. I do acting in Abhinaya Theatre Group, singing in Riyaaz Singing Society and dancing in Mudra Dance Club. Also, there are other clubs dedicated to tech and research. Maestros is the biggest annual event of PIET in which top singers and celebrities perform live on the campus.

The whole admission process at PIET is easy. You can apply online or visit the campus directly for admission. If you make up your mind, register ASAP because PIET has a limited number of seats for different programs. In my case, I reached the campus on the last day of admission and got admission. I was the last candidate, and after that, the admission process stopped.

One of the main reasons for me to choose BCA is the faculty, because my brother is an alumnus of PIET, and he says that the best part of his journey at PIET is the support he gets from his professors, and he was right, as i also get the same experience. Professors are available after lectures to clear any doubts related to studies. Mr. Ankit Bahi is my favourite professors. He is an expert in Machine Learning, and he is also my mentor.

Nightlife at PIET is full of fun and activities such as midnight canteen hopping, sports activities, group study sessions, and active club practices. What i like most is the singing prcatice that our group does in the park, and almost every student joins us for singing together. The campus is safe, with a team of male and female guards. Also, many cultural events happen at night at PIET, so life after classes is fun.
