What Students Say

Likes

The college is maintained very well including good greenery.
It is not an open campus, so there is no traffic issues or pollution regarding motorcycles inside the college.
The college is facilitated and conducts a good number of fests after exams which is quite appreciable.

Dislikes

The food taste they provide is quite unsatisfied to me.
The college is must be maintained with good sanitary workers.
Somewhat unsatisfied with the placement that comes to our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good and well maintained. The schedule they follow for the week( i.e, the number of classes per week) is fabulous and appreciable. There is no drawbacks regarding college curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

The intership opportunities of our college is good. And the companies that provides internship to our college students are differs according to the branch. For cse students companies like Google, Microsoft, amazon, flipkart etc.. are providing internships both on campus and off campus.

Placement Experience

The placements of our college is good for some branches like cse, ece, petro engineering.. and moderate for remaining branches. Most of the students are placed every year without failure. Also most of the students also try for off campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees is 100000 rupees per semester. In a year we have 2 semesters. Since my family's annual income is less than 100000 rupees, government is providing tution fee waiver for me.so I need to just pay my hostel fee and mess fee which costs upto 40000 per semester. The other category students also gets fee waiver and they are even costing low mess charges. Government is providing me Merit com Means scholarship of 10000 per year. So this is my detailed review of my fee structure.

Campus Life

Overall if discuss about my college, It is a great opportunity in your lifetime to study in IITs.My college in particular have a good senior- junior interaction apart academics. And good connections with professors which helps you in doing projects with them.

Admission

I choose this college because it stood in the top 10 list of IIT engineering colleges across India. And the rank and marks that I scored in my jee entrance exam also bought this college into my selection list. The admission process is completely held in josaa website.

Faculty

The faculty members are highly educated and explains everything in detail. There is good interaction between student and faculty. Since our class consists less students i.e around 64 members almost every one are in the grip of faculty.

Night Life

Our hostel is very well maintained and consists comfortable rooms to share for two students. As well as the gym facility, sports opportunities that college provides are awesome. There are also beautiful gardens with which most of the people are engaged with. What less every thing you can experience in our college.

BIT Sindri in a nutshell

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements and PPOs. Tata motors, Tata Powers, Jindal Steel Limited, etc with an average number of 5-6 students. In my batch highest package was 11 LPA in Tata Steels and overall average package was 6 LPA. Around 40% students were get placed in my batch. Preparations for government examninations to get into PSUs.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college start from 7th sem, some internships in 6th too. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini visited. Highest package around 12 LPA, average 3.5–4 LPA. About 70–75% students placed, others go for higher study or govt exams. My plan is to try campus first, then off?campus or masters later.

Placement Experience:

Mechanical branch in terms of number of students placed is quite high but if it is about how many students get elite packages it's less. The average for our branch at our college is 8-9 lakhs but top companies which are into our core space for long are our college partners.

BIT Mesra is humongous!!

Placement Experience:

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

BIT Mesra is Magical!!

Placement Experience:

Highest package from our campus is eye catching as it's 56 lakhs and for chemical branch it was 34 lakhs. HUL, Sun Pharma, public limited labs and various R&D research centres are those that have helped us to get best available jobs in market as the competition is high but BIT Mesra has still managed to place over 80% students last year.

BITS Mesra is Magnificent!!

Placement Experience:

From second semester we are taken for an hour session for special training. It is optional till 4th semester but from 5th semester onwards, it becomes mandatory and we have no choice but to go through that hammer. Finally, from the last year's 1st semester companies starts coming and we can apply for the same and that is how placements are done here.

Read this before joining BIT Sindri.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities is decent for students. The placement of BIT sindri varies from branch to branch but the core brances like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering has evergreen placements. Among the eligible students around 90 percent students get placed. But in branches like civil and production engineering, its not the same. They have very low placement rate around 20 to 30% of eligible students get placement. For CSE, IT & ECE the placement is highly dependent on the situation of market and it varies early. The students are eligible from 6 the semester onwards for placement . The placement drive starts from August or September and companies visit till students graduate. The top recruiters are TCS with more than 80 students from overall campus , TATA power nearly 20 , LNT, JSW , Vedanta , TATA STEEL, JSL, ADANI, ABG , Shyam steel and For it sector companies like samsung , cognisant, hitachi, TCs, Spyder visited for 2k21 batch. For the batch 2020-2024 among batch size of 710 around 620 offers were made. The highest package is given by samsung which is around 28 LPA , students of CSE, IT, ECE and Electrical are eligible. For IT sector average package is around 6 lakhs. For core sectors companies heightest package is offered by vedanta to Electrical, Mechanical, Mining which is around 14 lakhs average package is around 7 LPA.. Around 75- 80 percent students get placed during campus placement drive. The Wish to crack GATE and join PSU after my graduation.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
