Course Curriculum Overview
The computer science engg course hold immense relevance in the society, and our professors teach it just as well. The curriculum is perfectly designed and doesn't feel irrelevant. It smartly prepares us to face real world jobs and interviews.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available after/in 3rd year in our course. The criteria are good projects as well as a good cg in all semesters. I believe you can sit for internships if your cgpa is above 7.5. It's a very good thing.
Placement Experience
The on campus placements in NSUT are beyond impressive- big companies like Uber, Amazon, Google, Goldman Sachs, etc have hired mutliple seniors on campus. The average starting package in NSUT would be around 12LPA, which is a great start.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee(tuition plus others) sums up to around 10-11L for the entirety of of the 4 years for the general category. Tons and tons of government funded scholarships and merit/financial aid is available in NSUT.
Campus Life
The two main fest of NSUT are Moksha, and Resonanz, which are held in months of March and October respectively. They are both one of the biggest fests in Delhi. There are also 40+ student run clubs/societies which allow students to get their creativity flowing.
Hostel Facilities
I'm in the hostel and all the caretakers and attendants are really sweet. I have really good friends in the hostel and the accomodation is quite good in comparison to other colleges in Delhi. It is a pretty easy process.
Admission
NSUT is one of the top government colleges in India, and it's a previlege to be accepted into it. The infrastructure, the resonable fee structure, connectivity with the city, alumni status, placement status and the like led me to chose it over other colleges I got accepted in.
Faculty
I'm in my first year right now(BTech, Computer Science), and so far, there are 2 sections, with 120 students in each. As we approach the 2nd year, classes spilt into 3, with 80 students in each. The faculty to student ratio is quite ideal, as professors and students know each other well. Professors are very well versed in their own subjects and clear doubts instantly. I love going to classes, as the concepts remain crystal clear. There are 2 main official exams in one semester- the Mid Semester exams of 20 marks and the End Semester exams of 50 marks. Apart from this, the non lab subjects, have "Class Tests" worth of 10 marks, as the semester progresses. The examinations are not very difficult, however they are interestingly challenging.
Night Life
The night life is pretty fun, from roaming around in the gym, the sports complex, the students center and the like is really fun. The campus is really pretty and green, so a simple walk with the trees feels really good.
