Course Curriculum Overview

As i am a civil student and jngec clg has a good reputation for civil students but there are not much placements in our college...for best placement upto 18lpa you can take textile course as it is the only one college in whole himachal with this course ....and due to its scarcity, placements are high in textile.

Class Size: 77Course Fees: INR 31370 per year

Govt fees- 15000 SWF dues- 19370 Less counselling fee- 3000 Examination fee-00 Total-31370 Hostel fees-5120 Same fees for all category students Mess fees is taken every month per student 3500 For extra curricular functions, contribution is done by students

Campus Life

Talking about infastructure, its pretty good and even mess food is not that bad....Talking about the campus enviornment, it is ragging free and even seniors are friendly with freshers...for sports various games are conducted and even inter hptu tournaments are conducted all over himachal.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel life is awesome. Nice spacious rooms and friendly roommates and seniors. Meal quality i would give 6/10 Registration process for hostel is done itself in college by filling some forms and paperwork Here we don't have girls hostel...only boys hostel .. maybe in some time girls hostel will be available as it is under construction.

Admission

In ranking our college it is given a good rank among other colleges in himachal pradesh. I applied for many colleges through hpcet and got jngec as it has a good rank among other colleges. I also gave jee mains and advance but wasn't able to get admission in nit or iit. For jngec, one can give hpcet exam

Faculty

Faculty and student ratio is around 30:70 and nice teachers Many type of clubs are there like sports committe , art committe, nss , ncc , dance, music committes or you can also say clubs..... Per semester exams or test are taken.

Night Life

Gym is available but no good machines. Main gate closes at 10pm and after that nobody is allowed to go outside. College is situated at the top of a mountain so like theres forest around the college and closet market is like 10 mins far.

JUIT- beautiful place

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placement but you can apply off-campus if you want. A lot of times off-campus placements are of better amount than on campus placements. Almost out of 400 students present in a year, 100 get very good on campus placements.(Almost above 10 lakhs) 100 get between 5-10 lakhs And rest ho for higher degrees although they get a placement of 4-5 lakhs

Most companies related to textile industries come for placement as it is one and only one government college in Himachal which offers textile engineering. THE BEST COLLEGE AS OF MY DREAMS

Placement Experience:

after 6th semester the placements begins at NITH many Tech companies visit at NITH like Amazon , Flipcart, Paytm,samsung,oracle ,infosis etc.The highest palcement package is 1.73 crore in 2023 and average package is about 15 LPA about 80% of students got placed and also many of students opt for higher studies, i try to get placement if i get and not then go for higher studies

Placement Experience:

Opportunities for placements are quite well. Before COVID lots of companies came for placements and post the number of companies was reduced. I want to join a company after getting my degree. I am not interested in higher studies.

I applied to all the Government colleges and all the colleges that come under hptu and choose this college because it is considered to be best for government civil engineering course and I had the option to choose any college but I choose this because it is a good college for the admission we have to give entrance test or on the basis of JEE mains so after the admission test there is merit list and the counselling and you get the admission letter that's all it's it's a very easy process you just have to score there is a lot of competition but yeah you can get admission not easily but not that tough...Read More
