Course Curriculum Overview

3

Not gonna lie, i didn't even knew that there lies a course named electronics and communication untill the very end of my decision. As most of the students choice nowadays, my mind was also set on computer science. But as i looked into this particular course, it contained all the subjects and topics that i hated. And they say that you should do what you hate the most because you have the least knowledge about it. So you start at the beginning. I think the semester could be a little longer. Because it feels like every semester is just of 4 months tops and the rest is exams and few holidays.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for females is 30000 and for boys its 62000 max. But there is hostel facility available only for males. For other courses, the fees structure remains the same. There are some scholarships available for single girl child, for reserved categories and also some available on the basis of board marks.

Campus Life

3

There is only one yearly event held named twask. It was not held the 1st year but it will be this year most probably in the month of may after semester papers. One other sport event is also held. There are very few clubs availble.. but they are also not that active.

Admission

My other options were both private colleges which I've stated earlier. They both are very imfamous colleges. But also tgere is a lot of students who took admission there. And i think they are overrated and over populated. I personally think that govt. College is better even if there is less social activities. There were 3 criteria to take admission. 1 was jee score 2 was hpcet score and last was on basis of 12th standard marks

Faculty

3

1. There is 78 students in my course and we have approx 6 Subjects and 5 labs per semester. We have quite some faculty in my particular course. I don't know the exact number but i think we have more than 10 faculty members for our course. 2. My most liked faculty member was not from my core branch. She taught me the first 2 semesters. The subject she taught was mathematics and she was very good. Her name was mrs. Sunita thakur. I also adored mr. Ankush sharma sir but he got transferred to RGGEC. 3. There is no particular faculty that i dislike. 4. There are 2 periodical exams per semester. Some students do fail the exam if they do not prepare for it.

Night Life

3

There is gym available for boys with very less appliances. There is a cafeteria as well. The hostel time for boys i think is 7 p.m. There is no hangout place available excepr for the cafeteria. The locality is also not safe for girls at night because its an NH so the travellers caars roam at night.

Other Applied Colleges

Chitkara University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Thought govt. College was better

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because my first semester was too much.

After fifth semester you are eligible for campus placements. IBM, Cognizant, Algo8, Polaris and CITRIX and over 5000 offers are made. Highest package 42 lpa in CSE program by Algo8 and average package of CSE program is 5 lpa and for MBA is 7.5 lpa. percentage of students getting placements is 45%. My plan after getting degree is make your skill more better and good for my dream companies like google, amazon and microsoft and crack their interviews.

Students can sit for job drives from the 7th term. In our college, firms like TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra visit. Most jobs are in coding, support, or test fields. The top pay was around ?10 LPA for a dev job. The usual pay is 3–4 LPA for most jobs. Nearly 60–70% of CS/IT students get jobs. Core jobs are less for other fields. My goal is to work for 1–2 years in tech and then go for higher study or skill-based role in top firm or startup.
