JNGEC Review

The semester is told to be of 6 months but it ends in 2 or 3 months with very poor learning. Most of the Teachers are very non serious regarding their duties and syllabus gets uncovered.And in exams the topic told wil never come.

Mostly companies come from electronics and textile industries. As these are very good engineering branches. Several projects are given to students to get placed. Companies come and go and select students with high grade.

7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Most companies related to textile industries come for placement as it is one and only one government college in Himachal which offers textile engineering. The average package is about 6,7 lakhs Almost 30% students gets placed. My plan after degree is to pursue for my further studies

For boys the semester fees is around 30000 and for girls it is between 15000-20000. For General Category For other category and tution fee waiver,defence quota etc the fees is less. Yes there are several scholarship tests in which students can participate and win scholarship.

There was just Holi celebration and It is generally held in month of March or April Library has wide range of books. Class room's are well built with smart projectors. Sports meet is organised every semester which motivates students to perform well.

Room are good nice neat and clean. But the worst part is poor quality food. Food has different types of insects in it we complained about it a lot but no strict action was taken to make it good but action was taken against us that we would be restricted if we would say anything regarding mess. Hostel is affordable but is not worth it . It is a type of jail not a hostel.

I applied for CU( Chandigarh University) and got confirmed admission but it was very far from my home So I choosed this college. No I didn't get any rejection from any other colleges To get admission in college you should qualify Test named as HPCET and should get high marks to get any branch of your choice. To get eligible you should have minimum 60% in your +2 non- medical class.And cut off for general category is 50 marks and for other categories it is 20,30 marks.

The faculty is less as compared to students ratio. Mostly our maths mam is very nice to students and almost all other teachers are not good with students. They have arrogant nature and cannot listen to their wrong decisions.

There is canteen which closes at 8PM and library closes at 5 PM , a gym with less equipments. Hostel timings are from 6 Am to 7 Pm. There are several temples and other places where we hangout. It is nice place but poor road services.
