Remarks

The remarks about the college are very good . The college is situated distance from my town area so it's very peaceful area and for the college has very large campus contains lot of trees and greeneries .overall this is a good college for your academic career

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is under APJ ABDULKALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (KTU). The academic syllabus is published by the universersity.This college provides 6 B. Tec degree courses 1.Civil Engineering 2.Mechanical Engineering 3.Electrical and electronics engineering 4.Electronics and Communication engineering 5.Computer science engineering 6. Instrumentation and control engineering Semester examinations are conducted by the university itself.College conducts 2 internal examinations per semester

Placement Experience

A high percentage of students are getting placed every year. It is increasing yeatlr by year. Computer science and electronics department is from more people are getting placed.College has a seperate cell and block for placement and they conducts placement training camps too

College Events

A number of events have celebrated here. In 2018 we had our Techno cultural fest named, 'dyuksha' which conducted successfully. A lot of IEEE events are conducted here. Workshops related on every branch is conducting in a regular intervel of time.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee rate is very feasible. Its just Rupees 8225 per year. That means approximately Rupees 25000 for completing the course. It is a government aided college. So we just have to pay the fee to government. Then University fee and exam fees should be remitted at time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this is a government aided college, the Scholarships and awards offered by the government will avail for students who is eligible for that. I am unaware of any other scholarships or loans offered by my college.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are very active. College has a very big ground, which is largest among the colleges in kerala.More than one game can be played at a time. Besides that basketball and volleyball court are there and an indoor badminton court too. Well equiped Labs and experienced staffs.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes! Alumnies are very helpful. They provides different useful things to college. They fund for the improvement in the infrastructure. The come and took classes for juniors. They come and give their opinions about the Welfare of the college and the the improvements needed in different sections of the college and departments .they come and participate in the event conducted in the college

Admission is through following steps: 1.Write KEAM entrance exam 2.After the publishing of ranklist, register the options of your priority 3.If you get allotement, take admission within the date,otherwise it will get cancelled

Highly qualified Faculty.Each department contains sufficient number of faculties. Each department have more than one faculty having ph.D qualification. Very helpful and kind ful teachers. Very strict in academical things

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Programs and activities are good and the support

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

A honest review on NSSCE Palakkad

For admission,you have to write KEAM examination amd secure a decdnt rank as this is one of the most demanded colleges in kerala.You have to appear in allotment process and join if you gets tge allotment.The admission procedure was so smooth and as per KEAM rules. The course Instrumentation and control was available in very few colleges in kerala and this is the only government institution provides this particular course. I had applied for top colleges in Kerala for Engineering studies. I got admitted to NSSCE. I'm so glad that I'm a student of NSSCE. Admission to NSS College of Engineering. Mainly through KEAM Entrance examination conducted by the government of Kerala: General Quota, Reservation Quota are through KEAM Entrance examination of that year. You should have good marks in PCM subjects in the 12th standard. You should perform well in the KEAM Entrance examination of that year. Try solving Objective questions as many as possible. You definitely have to work hard to get admission to premium colleges like NSSCE. Management Quota admission: Should have good marks in 12th standard. Should quality KEAM Entrance examination of that year. Should have a good academic performance history. Admission to NSSCE is highly competitive. I had studied my higher secondary course in a subject combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology(science). Along with the higher secondary course I went for entrance coaching in a coaching centre. I was more interested in mathematics than biology so I focussed on engineering entrance exams. After entrance admission to engineering colleges are based on allotments set by our priority and merit. I opted NSS college of engineering since it is good academics and facilities among the engineering colleges in Kerala and also it is the closer my native district.
