Remarks

Sliet is now opening a new branch of Engineering in CIvil and EE. Sliet is Over all a Good institute to complete your degree with a very Good Environment.

Entrance Preview

I had given LEET exam which was conducted by SLIET itself. But now the college is taking admission through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. I chose this college because it is a government college and have a very great background.

Course Curriculum Overview

SLIET has one of the most finest course curriculum which matches with various top level engineering colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Our college don't have any internship scheme,but it allow a 45 days of training in various companies,institute. What so ever a student like to learn they can have and then industrial training viva will be conducted.

Placement Experience

SLIET tries a lot to bring as many companies as it can various companies like TCS,NEC,Glass india etc visited our college and provide handsome salaries to student. Our average salary is 4 LPA.

College Events

Sliet always celebrate cultural as well as Technical Fest every year in which not only students of SLIET but also from other colleges participate. SLIET also conduct various global level seminars and host various games events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Sliet offers a very convenient and easly affordable fee structure. The fee structure for DEGREE is of 40k that includes hostel and a separate of mess bill.

Various state level scholarships are availed by students belonged from some particular states of india. SLIET allows loan through central bank of India.

For first 2 year you have to share your hostel rooms with 2 other student and then for next 2 year a separate room will be allotted. Mess food is not so good it sucks.

Our college conduct Alumni meet every year and that brought a great knowledge and shares precious information some of our alumni also came as a company Recruiter and also provide job opportunity.

Exam Structure

There is two pattern of exam the overall marks i:e maximum marks is 100 and is divided in the form of 50+50. First 50 marks is of sesional Minor quizes Assignments rest 50 marks is from Major(End sem papers).

The placements at LPU are decent, the University provides placements to almost every student. The placement cell here is really very active. More than 1000 companies visit LPU during placement drives providing average package of 6-7LPA in CSE field. The highest package recorded was 2.5 crore from robotics and automation and 64 LPA in CSE department. 99% of students at LPU get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to join the corporate and work as a SDE or AI/ML engineer at MNC.

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding and math were the subject that influenced me to take this course we are introduced to python and c / c ++ which are the major languages used in the society for AI/ML. I don't like any curriculum in our college one day they kept mid and sem exams on same day to be frank my 1st completed in just 8 months I joined in Jan in August end it was completed my first year actually it should be completed in 1 year .

From 6th semester a student is eligible for the placements, companies like TAFE, CLASS, Mahindra and Mahindra and many others come for campus placements. The average package is of 5-6 lacs and the highest package, according to me was gone for john deere company at the price of 15 lacs per annum. The students have 80-90% chances of getting placements. I personally want to pursue my higher studies and work on my future preneurs.

Placements are good in this college in this college previous year average package was 9 lakhs 50 thousand and highest package was 60 lakhs but in this college number of students are very high so competition also increases.

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
