Remarks

The place is calm, serene and beautiful. The beautiful gardens along with the big old buildings is such a beauty to spend your four years. The geographical location of the college is also to be mentioned. It is easily accessible from bus stands, and other amenities are all nearby.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I followed Mahatma Gandhi University syllabus which was not upto the mark. But now the college is following KTU( KERALA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY) syllabus so am not much aware about the exam structure. But the new syllabus followed is heard to indulge more in technical concepts rather than the theory part, which was the biggest drawback of former syllabus.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is a Training and Placement (TnP)cell functioning in the college. They do provide the students a lot of opportunities and companies rush in mainly for electronics and computer science departments. Mechanical and civil doesn't offer much placements in core field but it is a usual scenario in most colleges as their core jobs are limited. On the other side, this TnP cell charges a huge amount on the candidate if he gets placed and he has to pay it before his final semester exam whether or not he is joining the place, which i personally hate about the cell.

College Events

4.5

Takshak is the annual technical fest which surely is an innovative festival. Students across the district do come and participate in the events organised here and students here does their part well. This will be a two day programme in odd semesters. Sanskriti is the annual cultural fest of the college which would be probably be your best days in college. This will be a three day and three night program held in even semesters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If you're getting in a merit seat, that is through the all Kerala entrance exam, you'll have to pay just a sum of 6400 rupees per semester. Yes, it is very inexpensive! Management admissions will also have to pay this fees apart from the donations they pay at the time of admission, which will vary from 6 lakhs to above depending on your opted branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed the MOMA scholarship which is a minority scholarship by the state government and have also received a central government one. In my knowledge, the college itself doesn't offer any scholarship to students as they have a very low slab for fees.

Campus Life

4

There is a cricket field which is enough to conduct inter college matches. Basketball court and open shuttle court are not upto the mark. There is an indoor stadium compensating for both, it is just superb. Football matches will be held in the same Cricket ground. Labs and lab technicians are very good. There is a huge swimming pool but it is only allowed for conducting competitions.

Hostel Facilities

4

I was a day scholar so I don't know much about the hostel food. The buildings are nice. First year hostel is newly built. Second year hostel has four sharing rooms only. Third year hostel is same as the second year hostel rooms. The final year hostel is the best among them which even have single rooms and great food.

Admission

I had attended all Kerala engineering entrance and obtained a rank of 3104. Our college was giving seats based on this rank obtained. So I chose computer science stream in MACE. MACE( Mar Athanasius college of engineering) also has a limited number of management seats in every branch and they also call for spot admissions if the seats are not filled, which will also have an interview.

Faculty

4

Faculties are very good. They are strong in their subjects and a lot of permanent faculties there have been in this teaching field for more than 20 years. Every department shines in the aspect of faculties. Even though some guest lecturers fail to impress, the senior staff will sure be of help in such cases.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
