Remarks

Some department need to focus more on practical knowledge rather then score in the exam.and only academic is not everything thing ,social activities should also be promoted .bit if your main focus is to excel in academics and go for higher studies then the environment is very nice and encouraging.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is bit more theoretical rather than practical. Also the exam structure is burdening. The semester system doesn't let you study the topic to the fullest, everything feels rushed and like just to complete course not to actually understand

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement opportunity are quite nice and internship fares are held regularly. The college have a properly functioning placement cell which organise regular seminar and guest lectures to give you direction for scope of fields to pursue. I wasn't looking for an internship so i don't know about the details.

College Events

3

The biggest event celebrated in my college is nexus. Its like a cultural festival. It is among the best college festival of delhi university. It is a three day long festival. The first day is new era activities. In the dance competition, groups from various du colleges participate and later that night a concert is held. The second have more of a cultural touch. And sufi night is held. The third day is like the grand finale also called star night where different stars are called to perform like sunidhi chauhan, kailash kher, arman malik etc Apart from this sports meet and competitions are also held

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee structure is very feasible as delhi university is a government college, it is being run under the state government so the fees is very less compared to private colleges. The fees for my course was around Rs 20,000 yearly along with Rs 1410 examination fee per semester. Overall it's not very expensive

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is not very expensive so there isn't much need for loans but if still needed the college doesn't itself provide any loans but one can verify documents for taking student loans from any bank. There are many scholarship that can be availed from the university. There are scholarship fir students of reserved categories, furl child etc. One can get the information form counter 4 in the admin block

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are fully furnished and most of the apparatus is in working condition. Also the lab staff is very helpful during your experiments. There are a lot of Sports opportunity available but you need to manage your time if you want to participate everywhere as the academic part is quite burdening and doesn't allow much scope for other activities.

Alumni/Alumna

I am nit actually connected to any alumni but i have seen many senior students coming to the college to share their experiences on how they applied for various courses for different colleges. Few of them also helped students in applying in colleges abroad. They guide you with their experiences and tell you the mistakes not to make and things to avoid which is very helpful.

Admission

First you need to fill the admission application form on the official website of delhi university ,upload necessary documents and pay the registration fees. Then du will announce the cut off list for various courses. Choose the one appropriate for you and then fill admission form for the college of your choice. Then you need to visit the college on the particular announced dates and secure your seat by verifying your documents. If successful in above then you need to pay the admission fees to confirm your seat.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
