- Fees is quite decent even for middle class family
- Main campus only boys but they said they are going to make it co ed this year

- Teaching language - many teachers teach in Bengali language which is hard for many students to understand
- The washroom is horrible it should be improved
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose bcom because I want to countinue in finance department and as long as I see college is teaching decently but till now there is nothing been taught which we can apply in real world, till now it's just bookish knowledge but I hope they will teach something out of the book in near future, and the teaching language should be english or Hindi because bengali is not understandable to many students
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid in total 5600 for yearly fees and there no scholarship i opted for this course , it's environment is good just management Could be better and the canteen is bad I didn't like it they provide nothing decent to eat, otherwise everything fine just being a english medium many teachers there speaks and teach in Bengali language this what I found something hard to understand
Campus Life
They do one freshers party for freshers students that's it nothing else no social cultural program, no journals, no facilities of any Technology or smart classes, no special extracurricular activities except one or two, yeah there is students union but they don't arrange any social cultural program or clubs or anything.
Admission
I applied for many colleges but choosing umeshchandra was because it's fees is Very less and teaching is decent and also it's near to my house so it saves the hassle of long travel and I heard from many my known persons that this college is good for boys
Faculty
Exam system is good and paper quality is moderate not too difficult not too easy, there is no such extra curricular activities there is a game room but only chess and carrom, and nothing else to do so just you to to college attend lecture and get back to home nothing more, but nature of teachers and principal sir is good they are very understanding and helping nature they help in understanding syllabus and paper paper pattern I like teachers.
Night Life
The locality is very very safe it's in situated in the heart of the city, cafeteria is worst although library is decent and campus is very short so no public areas or anything, there is many epic places near college like college Street market, Indian cofee house, Calcutta University etc.
