Likes

College is pretty active and has great learning and skill development opportunities
We had inter college cultural fest as well cme for educational purpose
Infrastructure is good just it is little small campus compare usual medical college but plenty of opportunities to learn

Dislikes

Policy are kind of unstable. They change pretty quickly
Need to learn kannada which I did but on my own
Need more sports infrastructure and more openness regarding rules and fine

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is designed by NMC and it is covered well in college and on time, college is kind of strict on attendance. Difficulty level is moderate and relatable to the course. Teaching can be improved if pratical aspect is involved more

Internships Opportunities

We have to do internship in r l jalappa hospital which is attached to college. Got good in hand experience as house surgeon.also we were posted to smr district hospital and handled OPD for medicine and surgery and it was good experience how to work under less resources Also got chance to do suturing

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in 2017 and I my fees was 9 lpa but now it's around 18lpa . Addmission is through neet .they provide 25k help to 30 students per year and also have opportunities to work icmr with mentors guiding and also have opportunities to participate in inter college fest

Campus Life

We use to have 3 fest annual which were usually interbatch competition and had multiple festival celebration around the year .lib was accessible through the year and especially during exams it was opened till mid night

Hostel Facilities

We had shared rooms with bathroom seperate for each room and table bed and mattress provided,hostel food is not good but specials are okayish.it was cleaned daily so hygiene in room was good.stuff is kind of good

Admission

I have applied for number of colleges and got allotment of SDUMC.you need to give neet and go through counselling for addmission,if u don't get through online round and then try for stray round which has greater chance

Faculty

Faculty ratio is kinda variable and depends on department.surgery sr Dr pujitha is good and inspire to learn about surgery and helps through process .most of the stuff is friendly. Librabry is the best spot in campus

Night Life

Night life is kind of quite as hostel closes by 10 pm and doesn't have much place to hangout too.gym has fix hours. Cafeteria is okayish not so great, good food places are kind of far like 5-6 km distance

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

We have internals once in around 3 months and we have yearly final exams. The average of the three internals is added to the final marks to declare the results. The exams are of average difficulty. Not too difficult to pass.

Placement Experience:

The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.

12th pass Eligible for the NEET UG exam On the official portal of NMC Out of 100%. 66 per cent of seats are reserved for the genral category, only few seats are remaining Accepted about reservation at this level, but colleges should remove reservation from overall admission, as at that point, every individual is a full-fledged Independent doctor, but still they need reservation for getting a seat This country needs quality doctors, not reserved ones Should remove the reservation More reviews should be added on the eportal Not able to find much about college before visiting personally...Read More

NEET is Mandatory for Admission as of 2022. Students need to clear a certain cutoff to get management and NRI seats. College don't have eligibility criteria of their own.
