Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is as per the guidelines issued by the medical council of India. The course is taught through a series of theory lectures as well as practicals. A number of topics need to be covered so the course is quite vast.
Placement Experience
It is necessary to complete at least a year of internship after studying the course for 4.5 years. Some big hospitals and nursing homes offer the students of our college the chance to intern at their organization with a fixed monthly stipend.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive. But since our college is a private medical college the facilities are provided accordingly. The facilities which are provided to us are quite good. Thus, I don't regret studying here. The fee charged for MBBS is around 14.5 lakhs which might not be affordable for everyone.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of our college is marvelous. The campus of our college is vibrant and lively. There are 3 auditoriums where functions are organised. There are specialised labs where practicals are conducted. There is a sports department as well. Facilities for various sports are available like a volleyball court, basketball court, two tennis courts and a throwball court as well.
Hostel Facilities
Our college provides accommodation facility to the outstation students. The hostels are situated within the campus. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The general menu is decided by the hostel representatives. A special menu is made for all important festivals. Food hygiene is well maintained. There is a recreation hall which has a television, a gym and a visitor's lounge. The campus is wifi enabled.
Admission
The admission to Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College is granted on the basis of NEET UG entrance exam. After the exam, an online counselling session is held. Based on these 2 rounds the shortlisted candidates are granted admission.
Faculty
The college faculty is well qualified and experienced. Some of the teachers are postgraduates while some are doctoral degree holders. They are very senior to us. We respect them a lot. They act as our second parents. They guide us and teach us.
