Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is designed by NMC and it is covered well in college and on time, college is kind of strict on attendance. Difficulty level is moderate and relatable to the course. Teaching can be improved if pratical aspect is involved more
college takes attendance and academics very seriously
the hospital has a lot of patients and the facilities are good
Dislikes
the college is in a rural setting and is really detached from the city life
there is a language and cultural barrier for people from other states
Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
* in accordance with NMC guidelines
* everything listed in the course is taught
*exams are based on whatever nmc guidelines are for each year
*clinical postings expose you to the real world and help u to tackle real world problems
The academics is really good , the professors are up to date with latest curriculum and the classes are on time and the best thing is you to compulsory the practicals with minimum 80% attendance
Infrastructure is also good and the central library is full with latest medical journals and all the books. Hostel facility is very good , although hostel food you know it will be average quality
Clinical exposure is good with enough number of patient .
Dislikes
Extracurricular activities is not up to the mark
Campus Life and canteen facility is not good
Overall the only one thing I dislike about the college is that management show less interest in extracurricular activities
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is according to the national medical commission guidelines. The periodic assessment test is conducted by each department once In month and clinical posting is also good for learning if you are interested.
Library is very huge in space. It includes a reading room as well as a section where you can borrow books and study.
Hospital has very good patient inflow. You will get the hand on experience on lot of variety of patients.
Clinical department are good. Faculties are well experienced and they teach in relation to the patient rather than just reaching bookish stuff
Dislikes
Mess food is not upto the mark. It is better than other hostels but it can be better
Communication becomes little hectic as Bangalore City is 60 kms away from the college and buses are not that frequent
Campus is not that big. If you want to go for a walk the campus is too short for that
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS course is full of experience related to patient and gives hand on experience with patient which is very relatable to what we study in classes.
The curriculum preapres you well for real world applications as the hospital has very good patient inflow and outflow. The relevance to the clinical point of view should be more.
The frequency and time of exams are adequate as it is difficult to complete the syllabus but that's what gives the drive to study and finish everything on time. Moreover it teaches you how to do smart work
The college provides a high-quality education with experienced and knowledgeable faculty."
Graduates of the college have a strong track record of securing meaningful employment or pursuing advanced studies.
Dislikes

Each department has plenty of teachers and we all are alloted 1 mentor per 10 students fir regular counselling and tacklimv of the diuficikties we face in our course
All the teacging staff is minimum a doctor who has done mbbs amd also professors are there with varying levels of high level degrees
Also The teacher is open to feedback and adapts teaching strategies based on student needs and class dynamic also The instructor effectively utilizes multimedia and technological too and als o weenthusiasm and passion for the subject are in every lecture, making learning more engaging and enjoyable.
It's evident that the professor continually seeks to improve teaching methods, often incorporating new techniques or resources a
I choose MBBS because it is a financially stable career.
There are three departments in first year each having 6 to 7 professors. There are 150 students.
Most of the professors are MD in their respective Subjects.
The teaching is mostly done through ppts and practicals.
There are three internal exams and one university exam each year plus Weekly PATs.
It's not difficult to pass if you study well
The admission to Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College is granted on the basis of NEET UG entrance exam. After the exam, an online counselling session is held. Based on these 2 rounds the shortlisted candidates are granted admission.
The standard procedure to get into medical applies here as well. I appeared for the NEET UG entrance exam and depending on my All India Rank I got admission at SDUMC. Apart from the entrance exams, you should also have more than 50% marks in 10+2 from a recognised board. There are total 150 seats for MBBS.
To get admission in MBBS you have to have 50% marks in 10+2 from a recognised board and you also must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects. Apart from that you also have to appear for NEET and according to your AIR you will be given admission.
I had enthusiasm for aeronautical building yet I gave the selection test yet didn't meet all requirements for it and on the opposite side my family needed me to turn into a specialist simply like my sibling and mbbs is by all accounts damn intriguing aside from evacuating the test times
