Course Curriculum Overview
The MBBS course is fairly same throughout most colleges in India. However the best thing about SDUMC is that it gives a lot of focus to research and allied subjects. The curriculum is amended every year as per the country wide regulations.
Placement Experience
Placements are really good. Almost 80% of the students from my batch got placed in good hospital chains like Apollo, Max etc. The highest package for my batch 24LPA while the lowest was around 8 LPA which is quite decent for starters. Internships are also offered to students who are studying of their MD super speciality side by side.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little on the expensive side since it is a deemed university. During my year, the course fee was 14.5 for each year so that makes it approximately 72 lakhs for the whole course.
Campus Life
Our college believes that doctors are also allowed to have fun. We have a huge sports ground where students could play football, cricket in their free time. There was proper training too and tournaments were also held where students from different colleges came to participate.
Hostel Facilities
The infrastructure is really good. The campus and the hostels are Wi-Fi enabled 24*7. The library is very good and have all the resources that a MBBS student will ever need. Plus the hostels are super hygienic and clean. The food is also of good quality. The hostels are very safe too.
Admission
The standard procedure to get into medical applies here as well. I appeared for the NEET UG entrance exam and depending on my All India Rank I got admission at SDUMC. Apart from the entrance exams, you should also have more than 50% marks in 10+2 from a recognised board. There are total 150 seats for MBBS.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is amazing. They are some of the most qualified doctors in our country who have a lot of experience working at various hospitals for a lot of years. Most of our teachers use the google classroom app.
