Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is according to the national medical commission guidelines. The periodic assessment test is conducted by each department once In month and clinical posting is also good for learning if you are interested.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship is very hectic , daily you have to face punch in and punch out , and lot of clerk work will be there no doubt clinical exposure is really good , you can attend OT , you can scrub in . In the end you can learn everything there will be faculty who is always ready to teach you , but for me it was hectic and some kind of toxic.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I took admission in 2018 the tution fees was 9lac/year ,and the best thing about the college is they didn't charge any hidden fees . Exam fees vary from 1st year to final year which is around 3.5k to 7k max . College also provide scholarship for top 15 general category and top 15 OBC category students which is around 25k year per annum.

Campus Life

3

The annual fest is PARVA which is held for 4 days , and sports day for 3 days where various events happens and durga pooja festival, ganesh chaturthi festival, fun mela and various other activities conducted by departments .

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is good only rooms have attached bathroom and there are two indoor tennis court. If you want to stay outside it's good but managing food is very difficult outside. meal quality is average and hostel fees is around 105000 which is cheap only . Nearby you can rent the house within one km periphery

Admission

I applied this college because in 2018 this was the college which was having lowest tution fees and college was established in 1984 which make sense . I applied for kmc manipal and kmc mangalore also after that my choice was sdumc

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is almost 1:20 . For every 7 student college allot one faculty as a mentee and meeting of mentor mentee happens on every Saturday where you can share your academic challenges and any other difficulty you are facing in college, in personal life . Exam are like divided in internal exams and pre university, and final university exam . Exam paper level is difficult , above average.

Interview Experience

4

No it was based on neet ug score and counselling was conducted by medical council committee MCC. There is no role of college management in admission process as counseling is centralized process and admission is done through online counseling only .

Night Life

3

There is no night life. Hostel gate closes by 9pm for girls and for boys it's 10pm . Canteen facility is not good , if you are vegetarian it's difficult to find good vegetarian food . Library is world class ,

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.

There is no such special curriculum just i want to be a doctor so i chosed mbbs. It's a very good curriculum as we have both book knowledge and practical knowledge at same time as we have to go hospital in morning to see cases qnd at evening to learn about it. There is no such improvement is required. We don't have to give soo much exam but the syllabus we have to cover its not much

Course Curriculum Overview:

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year
