Internship is very hectic , daily you have to face punch in and punch out , and lot of clerk work will be there no doubt clinical exposure is really good , you can attend OT , you can scrub in . In the end you can learn everything there will be faculty who is always ready to teach you , but for me it was hectic and some kind of toxic.
Internship is provided in the hospital followed by a service in rural area which is a rule of the Karanataka Government. You will gain a lot of experience during your internship as patient inflow is quite good plus the variety of exposure is also very diverse.
Students have to complete compulsory internship at the end of 4.5 years in attached hospital(RL jalappa hospital and research center)
They rotate between various departments.
Hospital pay some bare minimum salary to the interns.
It is necessary to complete at least a year of internship after studying the course for 4.5 years. Some big hospitals and nursing homes offer the students of our college the chance to intern at their organization with a fixed monthly stipend.
Placements are really good. Almost 80% of the students from my batch got placed in good hospital chains like Apollo, Max etc. The highest package for my batch 24LPA while the lowest was around 8 LPA which is quite decent for starters. Internships are also offered to students who are studying of their MD super speciality side by side.
Placements are very good at our college. The highest package goes up to 20 LPA where as the lowest package is somewhere close to 6-7 LPA. Students mostly go for internships because most of them want to go for masters.
More than 70% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered was approximately 2-3 lacs per month, while the lowest salary offered was Rs. 60,000 per month. Maximum students will get placed on their own in hospital chains like Apollo, etc. About 80% of the students got internships. Students pursue MBBS and MD super speciality in most of the clinical subjects.
The internship rate of the college is 100%, my friends and I were sent to a research centre in Tamil Nadu which was filled with great technologists, the duration of the research was for 2 months and it was an unpaid internship with free accommodation and meal package.
The placement of the college is quite decent, prestigious lab chains visit for mass recruitment from our college with a good stipend.
