Likes
- LSR is a highly academic college and there is high focus on lectures, assignments and presentations.
- The campus is really beautiful and the lawns are very peaceful.
- There are many speaker sessions going on almost everytime which provide knowledge apart from the course.
Dislikes
- The classrooms are not spacious and there are no adequate fans.
- There is very high academic pressure and students are always burdened with deadlines.
- The food of canteen is not suitable. Some dishes are okay but some are very tasteless.
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally do not find the curriculum very interesting in the first semester. The topics taught in the first semester were slightly heavy to handle for a student directly coming for school and it takes time to adapt to the new way of learning. But with consequent semesters, it only becomes interesting.
Internships Opportunities
There are internship opportunity cells within departments and there is a placement and internship cell over the departments as well. Interested students can apply and give interviews for them. The college does well its duty of connecting students with internship opportunities through whatsapp groups as well.
Placement Experience
Students get placements mostly in the third year, which is the 5th semester. Towards the end of the year, they start appearing for interviews. Average package of the college is around 600000. My plan is to give CSE after getting this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for one year is 20490 /-. This amount is to be paid at the beginning of the year. The amount would remain the same and there is no need to pay after one semester. Next year's fee would be paid at the end of even semesters like 2, 4 and 6. There was a notification about scholarship but there are no results as to who got it.
Campus Life
The campus is very aesthetic and peaceful. There are many societies and speaker sessions and other activities keep taking place. The infrastructure has a lot of scope for improvement as the classrooms are small compared to the class and there are less number of fans. Tarang is the annual fest held in March. Noor is diwali mela held before diwali breaks. The library is very huge and a lot of material is available online as well. Sports equipment is also provided alongwith coaching.
Admission
LSR was my dream college. I had a desire to get into LSR and I worked really hard for preparation for CUET. The cutoff for my score was 788/800. LSR has its own brand value and it is a highly prestigious college. The skills I would gain here by the time I would pass out from here would be invaluable. It is the aura, the prestige, the legacy, the alumni and the scope that made me get into this college, and I would never regret this decision.
Faculty
The faculty at LSR is qualified and suutable for the post. They are really helpful and always ready for solving doubts. They explain things well, though the strictness with deadlines and discipline may vary from professor to professor.
Night Life
After the lectures are over, most of the students are found in the backlawns or front lawns hanging out with fruends. Some are playing games, some are reading while some just chill out. There is an open gym as well. The cafe has been changed and many students seem to be disappointed with the new prices and food. The locality is safe but there are some creepy incidents at the back gate.
