Course Curriculum Overview

4

My curriculum is quite exciting as my branch deals with programmings codings and designs all and here already related to industry level problems and requirements. The real world today is nothing without tech and IT Branch is the most demamnding one in enginering. I haven't felt any areas of improvement yet. So what I think is the now frequency which is a corporate one 9 to 5 life should be changed a little bit. The exams are quite moderate level as one can preapre better for them by being focused.

Placement Experience

4

From 3rd year itself people start preparing for interviews in out specialised placement cell . They attend seminars , programmes , do internships in order to be both mentrally and academicallly prepared . L&T Accentuire TCS Amazon Google are some of the leading recruiters . Delloite gave the best offer last year that was of 17.5 LPA. More uthan 90 % percent students get plcaed every year. My plans are to prepare for Government job after this.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is RS 45400 out of which RS 5000 is for seat acceptance fees of OJEE. And the rest was admiussion fees for the category. My batchmates fees do vary as many of them are SC or General. There are numerous scholarships like SBI Kanya kalyan or OUTR merit or State scholarship or Yashasvi or Kotak mahindra etc and many more girl student oriented schemes and programmes.

Campus Life

5

Xtasy Engineers Cup Perception ZAIRZEST etc are some of the main events out here. Sports has been an integral part here. E library is the book bank for us. We have WIFI facility smart classrooms techniocal clubs musicals bands dance groups sports teams . We have various other activities like social work Clean Drive blood donation etrc a;so in the campus

Hostel Facilities

5

WEll especially for girls its quite neat and tidy. THe wardens are strict as well as supportive and caring. THe seniors also take uip the responsibility of the discipline here. MEals are flexibkle and timings fixed. Quite affordable than oprivate PGs. If i had rented a PG it would have far like near Khandagiri or Kalinga Vihar which is at a distance . Registration is availble online at college website

Admission

I chose this only beacause of its location as Bhubaneswar is quite more exciting and happening place , I did not get rejected rather i chose this seat. I appeared for JEE mains which i cleared and aplied for OJEE councelling in which i got the CSe branch in the mock allotment and IT branch in the 1st around itself. I feel atleast 3 Lac rank is amust to reach OUTR

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:16. The steudent faculty relationship is really understanding and cooperative. I rerally like our HOD Nayak Sir . He is too witty as well as fun to learn from. In total there are 5 exams . 2 midsems . 2 endsems. 1 special exam.

Night Life

4

There are Gyms in the hostels. The food is really nice here as well as in the canteen. The cafeteria has numerous stalls and restros . Bread Omlette here is the best. The special lassi sold ere is great. Hangout places can be Jaydev Vatika or OUTR Giri or Khaogali or Ghatikia FOOD COURT or Khandagiri . NIGHT life is great . ITs absoluterly safe out here

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
