IIIT Allahabad

The curriculum is very rigorous .I jjust wanted to work hard and make myself better. The curriculum makes you better for real word and work experience there are several workshops in between to make you ready for the real life work and not just books. The professors just teach and go they do not care if we got the topic or not. There are around 4-5exams of each subject per sem 2 exams and around 2 quizzes and exams are very difficult and quizzes just depend on the professor if he want to give easy or tough

The placement of our college is very good and better than most iits and nits and almost all iiits . Inthe year 2023-24 the placement for ece was 29.11 lpa and for it it was 33 lpa and it-bi was 35 lpa. The highest package was around 1.25 cr. There are several companies like apple ,samsung ,zepto ,amazon ,meta de shaw nvidia and many more you name it . Almost every good company and startuos visit this college

fees yearly is 230000 but for sc/st students there is a Fess concession on tuition fees which is around 150000 per year and the hostel fee is 24300 per semester so the overall fee yearly comes out to be around 280000 for general students and for sc/st students it is around 120000 . There is no fee concession for obc-ncl students

The campus life is not that great as most of your time is spent in labs or class and even after coming to hostel you ahve to study as all the students do coding and spend there free time coding even the ece students

The hostels are pretty decent but the mess food is very bad me and most if my friends almost eat outside daily its like spending two times the mess fee . The infrastructure of the hostels is good .in room there is a fan and two beds as in first year you have to live in a shared room and for ece students it is very difficult to get single room even in the second year

I chose this college because i wanted to do ece . But the thing that attracted me the most are the placements as i was also getting ee at nit allahabad which is also not a bad college but the placements here attracted me . The admission is through JOSAA counselling . The exam required for this college is JEE MAINS cutoff for ece is around 7500 for general

8 tas are there in a lab with around 130 student. TAs also live with us in the hostel so the relationship is very good and they are also responsible for marks in end sem and mid sem and almost all of the internal marks which are around 35 /100 .there are two exams end sem and mid sem and there are several quizzes in between so you have to study continiously you cannot jut study one night before exam even if you think to do so there are that many exams you have to study

The night life is dead all the shops near the campus are closed after 9:00pm and from november you are not allowed to go outside the hostel after 10:30pm even if you are a boy or a girl . The place to hangout is civil lines which is around 10 km from the campus and the bus goes there everyday and the bus fees is already included in the fees
