Likes

The placements of IIIT Allahabad is high compared to other top NITs and IIITs. My ECE average package is 29LPA.
The infrastructure of IIIT Allahabad is average and better than most of IIITs and average NITs
There are certain course like youth employment skills are good.

Dislikes

The academic in IIIT Allahabad is very hectic.
The college campus is very small as compared to others. The main area for students is almost 50acrez
The boys is to girls ratio is 4:1 that is not too good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The ECE boom news influenced me to take my course which is ECE. The college placement also influenced me to take it. There is 4Electronics LABs per week in 2nd semester. It helps to be ready for real world. For improvements, they can increase the number of machines in electronic workshops lab. They should also increase some TAs They are quiz, mid sem, lab test and end sem in each semester. The academic curriculum is hectic.

Class Size: 134Course Fees: INR 229000 per year

Placement Experience

From 4th semester, many students get into the internship and many gets further preplacement through it. The companies visted are google, atlassian, flipkart, qualcomm, samsung, phone pe etc. Highest package is 1.21CR per annum. Average package is 30LPA 90% students got placed. Private job is the plan after getting the degree. 90% students gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am in 2nd semestet.I have paid for 1st semester.They are as follows. The tution fees that I paid as a category student is 0 and mess fees is 24,300 and hostel fees is 24,000. For general and obc students the tution fees is 2,29,000 and mess fees is 24,300 and hostel fees is 24,000.

Campus Life

Effervescence is the annual cultural fest occur in october and technical fest is Aparoksha. The classroom facilities is average. There are ACs, projectors but no smartboard. Sports and extracurricular activities is good. Those who want to play gets proper opportunities. Students runs club are like AMS, Virtuosi, Rangtarangni are good.

Admission

I applied for NIT Jamshedpur along wIth IIIT Allahabad. I got confirned in NIT Jsr in 1st Josaa councelling. But, I take IIIT Allahabad in next councelling round. No, I didn't get rejection in other college. I wanted to come to IIIT Allahabad. Admission Process for IIIT Allahabad is by goving JEE MAINS and scoring more than 99%ile for general students and appear for Josaa councelling for NTA.

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is good. We get 1 TA assigned for almost 15 students. But there is 1 professor for 130students in a class. I liked Electronics faculty as a ECE student as they teach well. I dislike maths faculty as they are strict and maths is tough than other colleges. Exams here are tough . The curriculum is very hectic here.

Night Life

The nightlife is average. Gym in my hostel i.e is BH-5 is good but not in other hostels. The library is small. We have 3 cafeteria. There is also a couple spot. The Hostel gate closes at 10:30pm. Hangout places is Student activity room where we play indoor games like table tennis and snookers.

My overall Journey

Likes

Everything was good except placements.
Campus was so engaging , has a beautiful campus , one can get to learn a lot .
Faculties was from either IIT's or NIT's with good humor and knowledge.

Dislikes

Student has to suffer a lot during placements for students who are from Biotechnology .
No one takes responsibility , if a student is unplaced.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become elligible for campus placements.From top companies like google , microsoft to new startups like Raspa , Protium all companes visits , Highest package was 96 LPA , 40% students get placed , rest suffers , if one is from core branch then they get chances for PSUs and other organization.

Good Faculty : Faculty are supportive to your carrer growth they will provide guidance whenever you needed...
Campus Facilities: Infrastruture,labs everything is up to date accoding to the current need of the present.
Curriculum: Up to date industry oriented syllabus .

Dislikes

Strict Rules: rules are somewhere more stricter for college id,entering and exiting time .
Crowded classes: some classes are crowded sometimes
placement competition many students participating in the placements.

Placement Experience:

At NIET Greater Noida students becomes eligible for sitting in the placements from the 7th sem, with placement preparation starting earlier . Companies from IT sectors and others are visiting college. In my batch time the company that comes are JP Morgan & Chase , Razorpay, Juspay, TCS, Cognizant etc.

In my college placement is good and increasing every year as I have heard from s masters senior in past 4 days 1000 students have been placed and placements are still going on and there is a dedicated placement cell in our college and also skilled students can get upto 40-60LPA and average is 6-7 LPA and my plans after degree is to go for masters as I have intrest in MTECH too and 60-70% gets placement and it's still increasing and companies visit such as wipro hcl LG delloite etc

I liked the faculty here, they are well qualified and experienced
The way the faculty is trying hard with the students is very good.
Students are good here too they are cooperative with each other.

Dislikes

Library doesn't open after college hours.
Less events organised here in comparison of other engineering colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i did diploma in computer science engineering so after that i chose to do BTech in cse for better opportunities. Here I am really learning some computer languages by which I am making some projects. Exams timing is they held in evey 5-6 months.and this is a decent time to prepare for the semester exams.

Good college for Degrees

Likes

I like the Teacher behavior and attitudes
I like the Sports curriculum , they conduct sports event monthly
I like the admin office, because it always neat and clean

Dislikes

The hostel and mess food is not good as expected
The placement system is too bad , no proper support
The student facilities is not good , like lifts etc

Placement Experience:

If you are BTech CSE student , you dont need to worry more because they invite good number of companies to take placement , but you need that particular skills to get placed. Almost 40 to 50% student got placement for an average of 4.5 LPA

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Unveiling Campus Life and Academic Excellence

Professer behavior is very cool and good
Classes is conducted in normal class in which some classes have A.C while some not
Campus area is so big in which staff parking and student parking is separtely available

Dislikes

College time is bad . It is same as school timing
Student must maintain 75% attendence to avoid detention in CIA
It does not give a proper break after semester exam

Placement Experience:

The placement is average as same as other college . It provide 6-12 LPA package for who have skills as market required The placement criteria for student is above 8 CGP and no backlogs in all semester My plans after getting the degree is to join a good company for a good life The percentage of getting placements is above 80%

SEEING IIITALLAHABAD, THE STUDENTS POV

I choosed IIIT ALLAHABAD over other top NITs and IIITs on the following basis. 1. Small number of batch size which makes it quite enjoyable to attend any Campus event. The batch size for one year is approx 440-450 while in NITs, it is over 1200-1500 due to availability of many other branches. Less students = More Fun 2. Excellent Placement record. As we all know, the placement record is top notch here compared to other colleges. Average of 25 Lakhs is very good even in recession. 3. The infrastructural facilities of hostels is very good here. IIITA - pros and cons

I got this college through kosaa. This college considers jee mains rank. I chose this college over the others because of its excellent academic and great placement cell. This college is competing with some of the top iits in terms of placement and research. The cutoff for btech in ECE was 8.3k rank and for IT it was 5.4k rank in jee mains. This college takes students through JEE Mains only. The admission process for this college is quite easy. Once your seat is confirmed by kosaa you just have to visit this college and the rest is taken care of by the authorities. You just need to have proper documents. If you have been admitted int hese college through some category then u need to have a proper category certificate. Without proper documents the admission will not happen. The admission process takes about 1-2 hours including the wait time. The admission process is 4-5 days long and you can come on any one of these days and complete your admission. Iiita: the review

Iiit allahabad is famous for its coding culture which was a major point for me to choose this college over others. The peer group here is very smart people with all being the top 0.5%ilers. comparing with other govt engineering colleges iiita provides better faculty and lab facilities. Admission to iiita for BTech programs is possible through the JEE mains examination only, the cutoff for general candidate is around 99.5%ile in the JEE mains exam. IIITA Review by a masters student

For mtech eligibility is you should have a bachelor degree or equivalent msc degree, clearing GATE is compulsory Cut-off for gate is around 450-550 gate score. Application are accepted from CCMT portal. Reservation based on categories is available according to rank obc and SC st students get some relaxation in rank. GATE is held once a year.
