There is only one drawback that is they didn't provide any classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum in terms of relevance is good and the timing of exam whe you are appeared is three hours and in some subject the time limit is for 2 hours.the time limit is not less then two hours.

My name is Niyati. I am 23 years old . I have done my graduation from IGNOU and I have done diploma in computer application from Dalhousie. I have 2 years of experience in teaching.my yearly fees in graduation is 4100 for all categories.

Campus Life

Because it is an open university so there is no annual festivals. The book is provided by the university.there is no classrooms. it's an open university.there is no sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus .

Admission

I chose this college because in this institution we don't have to attend regular classes we can do it as correspondence. And I can do job also while studying. I didn't even apply for other colleges . because it's is suitable for me .

Faculty

The faculty members are very polite in nature . There are 8 exams per year and the exam is not difficult. The course curriculum is little bit different from the other institutes.byt I can say that the courses are very good and the material is provided by the institute.

Interview Experience

No I didn't face any group discussion, interview and written test . Because it's a open university in this university the don't take any interview, discussion and written test . That's why I haven't gave any test .

Night Life

As I already said that this is an open university that's why there is no gym., cafeteria, library and public area. No hostel facility is available in this university. Yes the locality is safe to roam around .

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths. My overall admission experience was okay, but the approval process took a long time. In my case, it took almost 3 months to finally get the confirmation of admission....Read More
