SCMS SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

Myself an aspiring student who like to be in techno field. I took computer science in my 12th std and was soo much intrested in this field.focusing on cyber security is my dream.the college provides hackathons that made us really updated with the current trends and new types and also we could learn many things from this hackathons. Our college organizes many such events.the faculty's are trying their best to bring the true potentional of our self .the timings of exams are apt because exam days to we can prepare more concentrated as we get 3 to 4 days leave

Our college has placements.but we know that every student will not get yhe placememt.as for me if i didn't got any placements i will look job outside the campus and also i will apply for interviews and i will check each companys requiremenent and will attend the interview.students will be eligible for placements from s6 .our campus provide training to conquer placements.byjus were our major requiters.sotty tcs federal bank ey and many more infosys wipro soo manny company visit us during the requirement process.there were 127 students who got placed in 2023.avg package of our college is 4 lakhs.the total percentage of students placed is 30 appx.after getting a degree i would practice for about 2 years and i will continue my studies and master up in a specific sunbject eg cybersecurity

Our colleage fees structure is classified into 2(mainly). As for a merit student without any category benifits.they have to pay 75000 college fees and 5000 for extra charges.As for student with category benefits they have to pay 5000 only (as their grant by govt is provided to the college).for a management student they have to pay 123000.caution fees in college was 10000.lab fees is included in the fees.there are 8 semesters.there are even sem and odd sem.even sem has 6 sub and odd have 7 sub. each sub has exam fee of 210.the batch wise fees is different. Cs department has more fees that is datascience and artificial intelligents have same fees as cs department.

Overall experience of our campus is good as we get soo many tech related festivals and workshop students can learn more and more.focusing upon the social life we have interactive people with helping mentality.there are many clubs in our campus and also there is nss.infrastructure of this campus is very good.the atmosphere is calm and peacefull and no toxins produced as beacause the air pollution is low.our college has events focusing as cultural we have vipanjikka and tech fest ignious and there is other festivals as naac.the students participate in this.the availability of books in campus the highlight as we have library which is fully furnished and air conditioned and also there are abt 2000 above books such that availability of books is more.the classrooms have smart board and also black board and 7 fans and 10 tube lights and more overthe infrastructure is the best.the sports in our college is bit low but we got the best kabbadi team and also the best kho kho girls team overall district champions.

Hostell facilities of our college is the best beacause we are provided with unlimmitted high speed wifi and also normal water hot water and also cold water.there are heaters in our college hostel such that students get good hot water to bath.the room has fan and tables and a cuboard.the meal quality in our hostel is the best as we get 5 days non veg and veg too the menu in the hostel changes in 2 months concurrently .the best food.the hostel and the mess cost for abt 7000 per month.the locality i rented room is karukkuty naalukettu

The other colleges i applied was all govt colleges.i couldn't got the rank to get there because i got less rank in keam exams.so i choose the best college i could get on my marks. I got 25526 rank in keam examination such that i cracked in here and also i wanted to be here because my super seniors where here they also insisted me that scms school of engineering is a good college.our college is a managemental college accredited by govt either we should crack keam exam or we should jee exam or we be nri quota. These are the 3 methods that we can get to scms school of engineering. The student must qualify 12th std with min 60 percentage mark and should pass the keam exam and we can get to college by applying in ktu portal

As faculty student relation is fine because we have best faculties.they support students to participate in hackthons and faculty encourages us to be always part of programs and duty leave is provided.my favourite faculty was geethu miss.dr geethu ,teaches physics .she is friendly and knows how to teach and also know how to bring best in a student.as for student has 8 sems and all the subjects are important .students can clear each subjects with consistent works .subjects aren't that complex.

As for hostellers we get no night life.our hostel is divided into 3.girls hostel .junior boys hostel and senior boys hotell.junior boys hostel and the girls hostel is in the college it self soo the students must enter into the campus before 6.45 pm.and the senior boys hostel is outside the college such that they can get time till 8.00pm
