Likes
- First of all i am new to this part that is ernakulam,i wanted to study in a college awailing hostel so i did opt for a college in the next district yes i do find my college really interesting and based on appearance it is really presentable
- I do study in scms school of engineering and technology,ernakulam. Here we have our hostels inside the college so i find it safe for the girls here and we have our canteen inside our college so it is really easy for us for food supplies.
- We have a good library were we have wifi and a good readable and reference book . We can visit the library and get the books we want to stufy . One of the positive point is that our hostel has a separate stufy area.
Dislikes
- Things disliked is that the cleanliness in hostel is not really good especially the bathrooms because i do find it not usable but its kind of clean but not really clean enough . We don’t have proper wifi system for all the rooms
- The college doesn’t support girls and boys sitting together idk y this generation have such thoughts
- The college doesnt have any kind of programs or fests its only a study area
Course Curriculum Overview
I did choose this course because i found it interesting and it is part of computer science and the future depends on data science and artificial intelligence. Data science basically one u need for the future. Since semester 3 we have deep touchdown to our subjects so we are getting to know more about the subject. We need more of lab so we will be able to get more into coding. I find it really difficult because one semester is actually is of 6months but they complete in within 3months which is really digitally for the kids
Placement Experience
We do have placement training in all the semesters to train the students by the end of 4th year. I find it really intresting because it helps to improve our interative skills. Yes we do have good placements here most of our seniors got placed in good companies with a good amount being paid.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees i 'll be paying is 124000 yearly (I have opted for management quota in the college) Ktu fee and quotient deposit is 140000 We do have different fee for sports My friends fees in merit is 80000
Campus Life
We have a good campus but awailing to the main road and accessiblty to the main road is not easy and this is somewhat like a jail that we don't even have our freedom to out from the hostel at night .is that more to ask for. The facilities are good in classroom as well as hostel expect some things. They don't really support on sports here because they haven't told children to be fit enough
Hostel Facilities
I do awail in college hostel here we have 3people in a room. Which is good but the rooms are really small enough we really dont have much space in a room of 3people. The menu is been bad for past 2-3months we dont get good food here. So we irder food fron outside and its more of us spending money for food. The locality we stay is far away from the highway its really difficult for us to reach outside and go in search of a hospital but thankful we have hospitals nearby
Admission
I did choose this college because my friends were there with me while joining the college and one of my cousin was already studying here.no i had applied in Christ college banglore since i had completed my schooling in abroad I didn't want to join a college outside my homeplace so i opted for this college. Here we need to qualify any one keam of jee to join any btech courses . The main cut off is 40% i guess.
Faculty
So talking about the faculties i find them really approachable and friendly but some staffs are not really approachable. We have divya miss our life skills teacher she is really good teacher. I didn't like some of my teacher because they show partiality towards boys. Aren't boys and girls the same. I find ktu really difficult because we just finished 3semsters in a year which is really tough for the students and stressfull life.
Night Life
There is not life for us here because this a grounded hostel after 7:40 and whenever we go out we are supposed to enter the college within 6:45 pm which is really bad i think so for us students. We are matured enough like everyone knows but still they're not giving us any kind of freedom in college even if our parents tell also they don't give
