Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since i am a mathmatics and science student also in high school so. I have attached with maths and also i prepared for jee too so i like maths so for detailed study of maths i choosed the course mathematics honours in bsc and also my marks are pretty ok so i got shaheed bhagat singh collage and i am satisfied too by this and my schools friends also choosed the course so i have a impression in my mind about the course.

Internships Opportunities

5

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) offers a variety of facilities to support students’ academic and extracurricular growth, including modern classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, a spacious library, and sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games. The college promotes a vibrant student life through cultural societies, clubs, and events, and provides a cafeteria with affordable food. While it lacks its own hostel, nearby accommodation options are easily accessible. Additionally, the college ensures students have access to Wi-Fi, medical support, and counseling services to help with both academic and personal well-being.

Placement Experience

4

Students gets placement in 3rd year but course bachlor of commerce more facilities for placements and i have seen many posters in collages notice board and also many placements on many posts in corporate world like in excel work and presentation. Annual income average is also not that bad. So it has more opportunities in bcom course and in other like bsc and ba not that spreded. They have to strugle for govt exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 17450 rupee per anum as i am in 1st year and i belong to category obc but also my friends who belong to st and sc they have got refund of about 50% of fees. I donot know about separately that much that how in this and how much in other sectors like tution fees and also like lab fees. But yeah our collage not have hostel so it has not included hostel fee. Also we gets scholarships by collage and other also like brand like reliance and others.

Campus Life

5

Yeah in time of diwali collage organised cultural fest " the deepotsav" in which too much thing included like dances, songs, and stalls hanged by seniors and competion like biscuit eating and dot throwing. I enjoyed it. Various ranges of book available in collage library like of constitution, and of core subjects and for sec vac and newspaper too. Classrooms are also have smart tv in about 10 rooms and these are newly fixed and work very good and also teachers also use them by playing pdf on it. It has sports room that collage have table tennis, and chess and also volleyball, and cricket net. They are also new and well maintained. Yeah collages one of loving things is collage society working by seniors. These have verious types like dance, sing, and debate, technical, and business related and also enhance thier compatibilty regarding professional life. These are too good and also organise events for that gets little bit fund by collage too. I was in debate society.

Admission

Yeah by my cuet scores i got collage in du in 1st list of du admission but as i have applied to 2nd list so i got shaheed bhagat singh collage. If you ask for what collage i want so thats ramjas collage in north campus because in my hometown the collage is famous as the best collage for maths hons students. First i have applied in cuet in 2023 in about February month and then i got results in about april (got too late this year bcz of neet controversy of nta this got late because nta owns that exam coducting power.) Then i got 1st list and i got Ram lal aanand collage and then i applied as for 2nd list and i this i got the collage shaheed bhagat singh in which i am right now. But i didnot upgraded in 3rdist so i got this and this was the perocess and cutoff was like 350 in 2nd list for sbsc and 410 for ramjas collage.

Faculty

5

The faculty student ratio is about 1 per 60 student and their relation to student is good because they are always ready for students like as they are free. But i like Mrs. Jyoti mam bcz l like their way of teaching and like how she teaches prac i like that and understoods well. I like the sandeep sir bcz he is not that patient man like if anyone forgot to do some work they didnot understand him and make image in mind like he cannot do. Also the guards are rood too they should be frindly to student even to 1st sem student. I didnot like elementary real analysis bcz it has too much of theorems and forced to just keep in mind but i like prbability bcz it is calculative as i like.

Night Life

4

Night life is not that excited as collage does not have any hostel so student have to take pg but yeah it have facilties of nightout with pgmates and enjoy. As du orgainse events too in which all du students allowed and many celebrities comes here for their concerts so its not that bad. Like connaught place is one of famous places for night out and yeah locally is safe that much but collage does not provieds hostel so students live far from collage.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
