Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our curriculum is 2019 which is an old-based curriculum and still, we are following the same old pattern of syllabus. The syllabus is not changing according to the newer technologies It's teaching as old programming languages which are not even used by any companies. That's why ktu university is still behind other universities. In my opinion revision of syllabus should be done regularly

Internships Opportunities

4

No such internship Opportunities are provided by our colleges other than placements and We are told to do 2 internships in 4 years from outside either by paying money and working asana interns or through free internships provided by companies. So we must find an internship that will not support it.

Placement Experience

4

The placements in our collage was high before the time of covid but going on it decreased. Its basically due to the development in technology and due to increase in number of Candidates. So bigger companies started taking freshers in small amount. So they started focusing more on skills rather than btech certificates before the COVID-19 pandemic, the placement rates at our college were high. However, they decreased significantly during and after that period. This decline can primarily be attributed to advancements in technology and an increase in the number of job candidates. As a result, larger companies began hiring fewer fresh graduates. They started focusing more on skills rather than just B.Tech certificates.

Fees and Financial Aid

Regarding the fee structure as a management student, I have to pay 1,29,000 per year of which 95000 is the tuition fee and others. As a management student, I have to pay RS.1,29,000 per year, including as the tuition fees and oandes (ID card, additional course fee etc). For merit studenty have to pay a fee of RS.75000 per year. If your team rank is less than 10000 the fee will be deducted to 40000 per year and additionally if your having any sort of caste minorities you will be given seats

Campus Life

4

Basically speaking about campus life, compared to other colleges, our college has a smaller number of programs conducted. But the tech communities are active, like Tinkerhub, IEE, IEDC, FOSS, etc. They are conducting events on a monthly basis, and students are actively participating in them. Tech communities on our campus have played a crucial role in skill development as well as building connections. The NSS also has a good involvement in our campus. In comparison to other colleges, our college has a smaller number of programs conducted. However, the tech communities, such as Tinkerhub, IEE, IEDC, and FOSS, are quite active. They organize events every month, and students participate eagerly. These tech communities play a crucial role in skill development and building connections among students. Additionally, the NSS (National Service Scheme) is also significantly involved in our campus activities

Admission

So I have cleared the KEAM examination it's basically an entrance examination for joining engineering colleges in Kerala. But I couldn't make it to a good rank, but I have qualified for the KEAM exam. I got a rank of 33k, which is not that good to make it to high-ranked colleges in the CS department. So I decided to join in the management seat. So basically I live in Ernakulam. SSET was found to be one of the best engineering colleges in the CS department with high placements before the covid. But now the placement graph has fallen down. I have successfully cleared the KEAM examination, which is an entrance exam for joining engineering colleges in Kerala. However, I didn't achieve a very good rank; I received a rank of 33,000, which is not competitive enough for top-ranked colleges in the Computer Science department. Therefore, I have decided to pursue a management seat. I live in Ernakulam, and SSET is considered one of the best engineering colleges for computer science, known for its strong placement record prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the placement statistics have declined since then.

Faculty

3

The faculty members are well Educated and Supportive throughout sessions and we will be having 5 modules each for subjects. The ratio of student and faculty is nearly Teacher to student 1:4 ratio but they managed and coordinated students very well. There will be 2 internal and one main exam for the students and the pass percentage of students in internal is very low.

Night Life

4

Talking about the Nightlife Our campus is a strict one Hostlers are not allowed to go out of their building after 7:45 for girls and boys 8:45.So basically after Dinner they are not allowed to roam around simply a strict discipline has been followed
