Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because i love mathematics and this curriculum provides everything i need. It has variety of fields in mathematics like linear algebra, real analysis, group theory, complex analysis etc which motivated me to choose it. The Curriculum doesn't really prepares us for real world applications. It does prepare us for future exams UPSC maths, IIT JAM, CUET PG, CAT, actuarial science. To improve more practical based work should be added rather than only the theory thing. And real world applications should be learned more. Exams happen every semester. They are quite easy. Short tests happen till exam to prepare ourselves.

There is even a new bhagvad gita section. All classrooms are studded with touch screen, labs are filled with high tech computers and printers. Botanical labs have appropriate supplies. Extracurricular activities like dance competitions, debates, quizzes happen all around the year. Admission

I applied to central university of haryana for BSc-MSc mathematics program for 5 years and got into based on CUET UG score. Also I got into MDU for BSc maths hons based on 12th scores. I applied to miranda house and st stephen college for the same program but didn't got into. My cuet scores not up to their par. Admission process includes giving cuet ug exam, get score card and apply through csas portal for Du colleges and lists come. For the seat you got, you either upgrade to get better college or freeze to secure seat and appear for your first day. Most favored exam for graduation other than neet and iit jee is CUET UG. Overall it's first time for me to experience cuet ug. For my course, you need to have a good cuet score in physics, chemistry, mathematics and a non medical field in 12th.

Faculty

3

faculty-to-student ratio is appropriate. Like mathematics department has about 56 students in all years. So about 168 students in total. There are like 12,13 teachers in maths department. Similar pattern is in all the departments. Faculties are very approachable. They would make time for you no matter what. Exams are semester wise. So for a three year course 6 times in the course. In every semester we have 7 exams. Exams are moderate to easy. Course is relevant.

Night Life

5

Canteen is available. Apart from that kamla nagar market, hudson lane is nearby filled with student cafes and party spots, shopping place. Library open from 9 to 8.canteen closes at 5 pm. Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.
