Course Curriculum Overview
The course well aligns with the requirements to prepare the undergraduate students for real life applications on the field. It lacks some digital aspects of the field of study which is included for our next batch. The exams are at a good frequency with the difficulty level being somewhat challenging.
Internships Opportunities
I am currently a second year undergraduate student in the campus and have not availed any internship opportunity under the campus. As per my knowledge companies like American Express, Adobe, Google, Microsoft, BCG visit the campus to offer roles like Software developer, product manager, consultant etc.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester at the college. A lot of companies visit the college and of various types to offer placements to the large pool of students awaiting them. Offers are made to around 70 percent of the students who apply. Highest package ranges from 2 to 3 Crore per annum. I will apply for a core placement on campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes one lakh rupee as tution fee and half a lakh as hostel fee per semester. The hostel fees include 14500 as mess fees, 18300 as hall establishment charges, 4700 as hall budget alongside other expenses. The admission fee was technically 0 as they charge 40000 at the beginning as seat allocation charge but include it in the fees later. Lab charges are around 1000 per semester. For persons belonging to SC, ST categories or low income categories can avail discount in tution fee.
Campus Life
I have been a part of 4 involvements in the campus. It is a very colourful life if we consider the social aspect as there are a lot of student societies and clubs. Libraries have a vas collection of books and are thoroughly accessable. Sports is promoted well with good infrastructure. Technical fest KSHITIJ and Cultural Spring Fest occur every year in January.
Hostel Facilities
I have a single room accomodation for myself but studnets are randomly shuffled into single, double and triple sharing rooms. The meal quality is pretty much descent but the menu is inconvinient for me to have meals as and when I want outside.
Admission
I had attempted JEE Mains, BITSAT, IIIT-UGEE and JEE Advanced and I had the option to choose from a vast range of colleges like IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani and IIITs. I chose this college as I had interest in studying at a prestigious university in the course I was interested into
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is well maintained. The faculty takes good care of the students both academically and non academically. I personally like Professor Chakraborty who gives useful insights on our course, I personally dislike one of our faculty who did not teach well last semester and gave questions in exam out of syllabus. A small but considerable number of students fail to clear the examinations.
Night Life
There are good number of spots to hang out with friends. The places are safe and well lit at night so that we can enjoy our full time in the campus. There exist no in timings. Famous places for hangout include Gymkhana, pepsi cut and Nehru museum.
