Likes

Very large campus and greenery all around.
No ragging in the college. It is a ragging free college.
Faculties are good and motivate us. Also give guidance.

Dislikes

There is less number of seats in hostel but there is PG outside.
There is cumpulsory 75% attendance for appearing in exams.
There is no proper internship opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I liked this course because i was getting lower branch in Nits so i choose this as i want to work in tech companies. I choose this college because it was very near to my home. The syllabus is very outdated. The syllabus should be according to the tech related.

Class Size: 112Course Fees: INR 32000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The whole year fees is around 32000. Fees is very much affordable. Also there are very scholarships for students. The total fees of this course us around 120000 My department faulty are good. They are helpful and kind. Always motivate and guide us. The campus is very large around 650 acres. The campus is very much beautiful and greeny. The admission for B. TECH is through JEE MAINS. There is no ragging in college. Also seniors are very helpful and kind. Attendance of 75% is compulsory in each subject.

Campus Life

The fest of our college is equilibrui. There is a very big library contains very much books that you want to study. There is a very large classrooms but very old classroom. Also contains smartboard. There are many clubs like GFG,GDGC,TARANG,NATRAJ,UDAAN

Admission

I applied to NITs and IITS but i got lower branches in that universities. So I choose because i wanted to work in tech companies. Also this college is very near from my home as i am from chhattisgarh.

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is good. Some Faculty always help students and motivate us. The teacher Jitendra Bhardwaj is very good. He always motivate and guide us. The teacher Suhail Ahmed is very strict. He makes the toughest paper in the department. There are total 3 exams- ct1 15 marks , ct 2 15 marks end sem 60 marks.

Night Life

In the rainy season, snakes come out and roam here there. Langoors always roam here and there. And takes away food from hands. Closing Timing for boys hostel is 9pm. Closing timing for girls hostel is 7 pm.

Life at GEC Raipur

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. My College Review- insight from NIT Raipur

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, the placement starts. Till now around 30-40 snrs have placed. All the good snrs I know and have already been placed. Companies like- Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, JSL, JSPL, JWL, netarwala, Amazon, Dassault System, Reliance, phonepe, Deloitte, come to our college.

Yeah ,the course in terms of comprehensiveness is really satisfactory. I have some issues with sequence of subjects which are covered ,but there is no compromise with the comprehensiveness. So I would rate good that too .

NIT Raipur Review: Where knowledge meets real world engineering.

Placement Experience:

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl,bhel,bhel,reliance,catterpillar,eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I think has a very bright future as the cheap making industry is everywhere and in futue AI will require physical component which will be full filled by this department so this will be fulfeeling the real word application however the course maybe more practical. The exams are on every month so it's very rigorous. The difficulty level is moderate.

It's Location since it is located in Bilaspur and High court of Chhattisgarh is itself located here so internship and legal experience will be maximized.
