- Too many restrictions for first year students.
- Dress code for first year. Suit patiala for girls it's irritating.
- Less events and fest. We couldn't enjoy much.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed civil as the college has great environment for competitive exams. Curriculum prepares us by giving us opportunity to connect with real world by intership opportunities. College should also focus on cultural events for making campus life exciting. Frequency of exams are regular in months difficult level is also relevant.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities is quite good it's having alot of opportunities. Students can do internship from 1st year itself, companies like tata, reliance, Google and many other renowed companies provide intership opportunities.
Placement Experience
From semester 3rd students can take placements. Last year more than 900 offers have been made and most students got placed. Highest package was 13lpa in civil engineering branch and lowest was 4lpa. More than 50% students got placed. I'm planning to join either PSUs or higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee is less. For girls tution fee is only 32 rs per semester. Category wise like for sc st fee is approx 1900 and for gen and obc category it's 7600 for 1st year. Students have alot of scholarship opportunities like ekalyan, reliance and many more.
Campus Life
There are two major events tech fest and fresher of the year. Both are quite exciting and they have alot of fun and exciting games. All types of academic and non academic books are available in library. Sports facilities are quite good, students got alot of medals from tournament. There are 5 ngos and more than 20 clubs for personality development of students.
Hostel Facilities
In hostel we got one chair, study table and bed each. Food quality is okayish with variety of dishes in menu. Registration process is not much difficult. Many day scholars are there who took hostel in their 2nd year.
Admission
I have also applied for BIT mesra, IIIT bhuvneshwar they also offered me few courses like mechanical, chemical, ece engineering branchesbbut didn't go there because bit sindri is closest to my hometown and also less fee as compared to other colleges. To get this college you have to 1st fill the councelling form of jceceb then you have to do it's councelling it's fee is appox 250 for girls and 500 for gen obc boys.
Faculty
Faculties are quite good and knowledgeable. Sometimes they are rude but they helped us when we need them. Exams are not much difficult we get enough time to study before exams. Most of the students get passed and course is also relevant.
Night Life
There are gym available in both girls and boys hostel. There is one cafeteria too it's having good quality food. Library is quite big and comfortable for studying purpose. In timing in hostel is 7 to 8 pm Various hangout places like bhatinda waterfalls, parasnath, dhanbad and many other places.
