Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course beacuse this course is quite easy. If you want to do something while pursuing a degree you can choose this. This degree is quite relevant if you want to sit in competitive exams or made career in teaching. The exams is in the month of may june and november december. The timings of exams is from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

Internships Opportunities

1

The college provides Vice Chancellor internship to all DU students which is a paid internship of six month of 10000 rupees. There are many private internships available whose information circulated in college groups from time to time.

Placement Experience

2

Students become eligible for campus placements after 5th Semester. Many companies visited the campus and the efforts are made by placement cell which is a very good initiative of college but only 10 to 15% students are placed at average packages. The students who were placed were only from science side and commerce side. The average package student get from here is only from 250000 to 300000 per annum. I personally prefer not to sit in placement because I want to study further.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I paid for Ist year is 12500 for SC category. For 2nd and 3rd year is 1000 less. This is the only fees I paid during the starting of the year except for examination fees of Rs 510 per semester during the filling of examination form 2 months before exam.Fees for other category students is 1000 more than me. Many Government scholarship is provided in my college. There is a fees exemption program provided my college for financially weak students.

Campus Life

5

The overall campus experience is very good. I enjoyed a lot in Campus. There is fest named "Sabrang" organised every year in march after odd sem exams. Books and journals are easily available in library whether it is course book or any other additional book. Major Sports prevalent in my college is Archery, Weight Lifting, Cricket, Table Tennis, Chess, Football, Badminton, Volleyball, There are college teams available. Every college sportsperson gets a daily diet free of cost also. Many Societies are also in college for skill development of students

Admission

I also applied in Jamia Millia Islamia for BA Hons History and BA hons political science but unfortunately I did not get selected because I could not secure enough marks. I chose this college over other colleges because this is affiliated to a central university and its degree has more value than any private college. I take admission in 2021 in merit based system. Now the admission is based on cuet entrance exam. Please check CUET official website for current admission process.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 60. The faculty student relation is very good. The faculties are very good and quite friendly except some teachers. I liked the most faculty is Dr. Raju Rawat. I disliked the most faculty is Dr. Krishna Unni Sir. He is quite arrogant. There are 6 exams in 3 year course. They are of moderate difficulty. Approx 10 to 15% students fail every 10 years.

Night Life

4

.Many Gyms and Libraries are available near college. Many food outlets are also present near the campus like Pizziano, KFC, McDonalds, Dominos etc. After college you can visit Hauz Khas, Lotus Temple, Kalkaji Mandir which is nearby the college. The Nightlife of Kalkaji I will say is not so much safe even for boys after 11 pm. My own friend is robbed and attacked near Govindpuri Extension.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I specifically chose Economics and history to study because I had an interest in both. Economics is pretty self explanatory, learning about how the world economy works is interesting. History on the other hand is interesting because you get to know how civilization and society developed.

German course has high demands and in germany there are relevant chances that I can get good paying jobs,I would say that the teachers are really nice, if you study well they will help you alot and are really appreciable, I would say there are none to improve because it's kinda easy to study the subject on your own, the difficulty of exams are what it should be like, it's good it's great, to make you a better person and student, and the time duration they give is enough to solve each and every exams
