The positive is you will have a very different exposure and environment and you will learn alot besides your classes. Negative being the time will fly and you will never know when your graduation got completed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for BSC program because I wasn't sure about hons courses. I wanted to go on with my chemistry and biology. My course includes chemistry and botany and zoology and there are 6 semesters the 4th subject keeps on changing. I had Evs in first then English in second medical diagnostics in third and public health and hygiene in 4th.
Internships Opportunities
The college doesn't provide internship but there is a special society in the college that deals with all this kind of stuff. The internship cell. You can become a part of that and you can get the required knowledge about internships.
Placement Experience
Delhi University kirorimal college. You can have great placements like if you are doing engineering or some other professional course. Also there is a special society the placement cell that can help you know more about the placements.
College Events
There are uncountable events occuring in the college. If you are a fresher you will have fresher's party both from your department and college. Then all the festivals are celebrated. And all departments and societies have their own specific festivals with games and dance etc. There is annual day of college and founders day. Fest are one of the most beautiful event where you can see your favourite celebs entertaining you in your own campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for my course is 10000 approx. For the whole year. It is very feasible and you have to pay it online. There is no other fee or charge for anything. And if there is it is not compulsory. Other courses have there fee from 5k to 20k.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a few exams that you can give and that can help you with some concession. The college also gives scholarship to those belonging to backward category. On the basis merit also some sorts are available.
Campus Life
There are several societies in the college that you can join for dance, photography, arts, theatre, sports, ncc, nss etc. There are computer, botany, zoology and chemistry labs. They are all provided with AC and proper equipment are available.
Hostel Facilities
Only boys hostel is available in the kirorimal college. Being a girl I don't know much about but my friend told me that all seniors are very friendly and supportive. There is mess and all 3 time meal is available with a particular schedule so that you don't have to eat same every day.
Alumni/Alumna
Previously there held a reunion of one department so the alumni are invited to the college to meet there juniors. Also the bigger alumni are invited to the college on special occasions and students can interact with them.
Exam Structure
There are six semesters. And there are thus 6 examination in every 6 months. There are internals before the final exam and then practicals if you have and then the theory examination. But no burden at all.
Admission
Cut off were released in July. On the basis of merit of 12th class. There are other courses which require entrance but the BSC and ba etc are merit based. You have to fill the form online to get registered and wait for the cut off. Whatever college you get admission in you have to go there for enrollment and the fee has to be submitted online.
Faculty
As I have botany zoology and chemistry I can only comment on that. The faculty is all PhD and strict regarding the test and exams. They do not leave any stone unturned. They teach in the best way they can and clear all the doubts.
