Remarks
I was happy with the college overall. The only things of improvement is infrastructure and placements in the college which should be taken care of. Rest teachers, seniors, atmosphere and peers are very good they all come from great academic background with high pool of knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bcom hons is a great course for commerce students it is very renowned and demanding course. The curriculum covers all the areas related to commerce feild. The course is divided into 2 semesters each year and also the internal assessment tests before each semester. There are around 24 subjects which are covered during 3 years.
Internships Opportunities
The college lacks in providing intership one of the biggest drawback. Students have to themselves search for the intership programs.The intership program should be strengthened to provide the opportunities to students.
Placement Experience
Many companies come for placements however the package is not very high. Companies such as EY, KPMG, Genpact, RBS visits the campus however the pay package is low it ranges between 1.5-3 lacs p.a. The placement cell is not very active.
College Events
There are many events organised in college. Many fests, cultural functions takes place through out the year. Due to varied no. Of courses the events takes place almost through out the year. It gives great opportunity to students to participate in different activities depending upon their interests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is very nominal and highly affordable. It is just 5500 per year. It doesn't put financial burden on the students. Also college provides some concessions in fees to students on basis of some financial, academical criterion.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is very nominal but still college gives scholarship to students depending on their financial and academic criterions. However since the fees is highly nominal the loan or scholarship is not required.
Campus Life
College organises many sport and extra curricular activities. It gives great opportunity to the students to engage in varied activities taking place in college such as dramatics, debates, sports, literature etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is very good but the infrastructure of college is poor. There are no proper desks for students also the availability of desks is less than the no. Of students. The infrastructure needs to be really improved.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are their to help you and also college is strictly against ragging. The seniors guides you on every aspect and are very helpful. The best thing about the college is the attitude and behaviour of the seniors.
Exam Structure
Per year 2 semesters are held and also there are internal assessment exams. The exam is held at university level and also the result is declared by University. The marks are divided into two sets i.e internal 20 marks, Attendance 5 marks and external 75 marks.
Admission
The college accepts the admission in varied courses. I was from a bcom hons course. Selection criteria is based on the grades secured in 12th standard. The bcom hons course demands the percentage of around 95 to fetch the admission. At my time the cut off was 94%, which has increased with time.
Faculty
Faculty is very talented, there are highly experienced lecturers from renowned places. Many of them have also written their own book. They have rich and varied experience and knowledge. Different teachers are there for different subjects depending on their feild of expertise.
