Likes
- It is said to be one of the best colleges in Nagpur.
- Campus has a lot of clubs and events to participate.
Dislikes
- The ratio of boys and girls is somewhere like 3:1.
- As per me, the teaching staff of some subject isn't good enough.
- This year admissions were late. So it the exams seemed to be approaching very quickly.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose my field as CSE(AIML) as it was of my interest. But in the college, as per my opinion, the course curriculum isn't good. They don't have enough time to make us learn everything practically and just focus on completing the course somehow in time. We're in the technical field and our main subjects are Programming. So we need more time and experience to learn and apply them .
Placement Experience
In YCCE, campus placement is offered. It is said to offer the better placements than any other colleges in Nagpur other than IIIT or NITs. I don't know much but maybe we're eligible for campus placement after the 6th or 7th Semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly fees as for OBC is 1 lakh 5 thousands. Some other charges are also to be paid at the time of admission. Mush as I remember, Someone I know from SC category had to pay somewhere between 10-20 thousands only for the yearly fees. Atd Girls also have some kind of quota I guess.
Campus Life
The campus offers a lot of clubs. And students can be part of any of them. So it's pretty good socially too. Various events are held throughout the year. And the biggest fest is the Yash which is celebrated in/around February.
Admission
I wanted to go into VNIT. And I scored fine in my JEE Mains. But was below 75% in Boards. If not that, I might've made it to VNIT. I didn't know I could make it to YCCE so I was thinking of going into Pallotti. But then I I was able to get YCCE in a branch of my choice so I took admission here.
Faculty
The college provide mentors to the students to discuss their problems which is very good thing. But some teachers doesn't feel good enough while some are good. Such as our maths teacher Nitin Wange was good at teaching and we used to understand what he teaches and doubt clearing was good to. But on the other hand, Our Chemistry, Web Technology, and Technical Communication teacher were not so good. We couldn't understand what they tought and doubt clearing was not good.
Night Life
The campus does have canteens and gyms too. I guess Hostellers can have fun in the night time too as long as they are not caught. I don't know anymore of this as I'm not a Hosteller. But I see students hanging around in the campus after the lectures are over.
